These are still my favorite carbon arrow.

So far they are mine as well. I plan to shoot for the rest of the summer as primary and try others on the side.

Hi Guys. Great Review. I love these arrows. Foot them with a little carbon collar and it's just about bullet proof.

Thanks for the review. What do you think of the HIT insert on these axis? Are they more prone to mushroom or break at the tip end than other carbon arrows? That concern of their insert design and the price has kept me from getting an easton carbon arrow.

I have not had any issues but will be giving them a hard test this summer. It was a concern of mine so the ones I have for broadheads and stumping I put collars on. With the epoxy you use to install the inserts I would be confident that any stray shot would be fine without the collars. The Finnish will likely chip on hard objects though.

Joe and I just spent a hard weekend stumping with these in both the carbon collar and normal configuration without any failed shafts. We were shooting 47# bows at targets of various distance and harness. I even shot one with a blunt style tip that bounced off most stumps and minus a nock ejecting it was ready for more. Very surprised in a good way!

Sounds great! Thanks for the replies I'm going to add it back to my list of future arrows to try :D Now between the easton traditionals and gt traditionals, which one do you prefer?

+Sima Yi the GT trads never excited me after I switched to axis. They are cheeper and more durable yes but the tuning and "feel" of the axis have me hooked. After a weekend of hard stumping with the axis I know they will hold up for most situations.

Wow thanks so much for the super awesome info! I was debating which arrows to get in the future for my major hunting longbow but now the debate in my head is over :) I will definitely give these easton axis a try!
Just in case do you have experience with the easton axis fmj? How do they compare to the axis traditional?
