  • Transport tools and accessories with the MAKPAC Interlocking Tool Case System. Cases are engineered to stack using four connection latches to keep the whole system secured when traveling from the workshop to the job site.
The MAKPAC System is customizable with undivided cases that accommodate commonly used tools like circular saws, impact drivers, or grinders. The MAKPAC System includes cases with drawers in a range of sizes to organize tool accessories including blades, hand tools, or small accessories. There are also insert trays and dividers that transform an open MAKPAC case into an organization system for small items including screws, washers, nails, zip ties, or small hand tools.

Makita, please offer these at more competitive prices. For the cost, one could buy Packout. I wish the Makpac system could be more feature-rich and handsome, like Packout. Especially for the price.

Agreed. They are a bit light-weight too... considering their cost. They should be built better for what you pay. They are nice for light duty and do snap into the Festool boxes pretty well at least.

Doesn’t even come close to Milwaukee… or Flex’s stack pack- which I’m not ashamed to say I just bought for all my Makita sh$t…. I have the Mak track saw- and the case and snaps to secure are garbage- sorry for the rant- but who wants to buy Makita anymore when even Ryobi offers a competitive platform with miles of quality of life that Makita doesn’t have…

They are Talos Systainer classic from the same company that makes Festool containers. Expensive is baked into that equation.

Makita’s make the bulk of my tools but I’ve never considered Macpak a viable system. Especially now when there are so many better options for the same price category.

This is great. I was ready to sell my Makita toolboxes and buy either Milwaukee or dewalt tstack.
I bought over 100 of Makita tool boxes 4-5 years ago. It’s not as great as the newest festool model but I didn’t have an extra 10k to organize my tools.
I’m still stuck with organizing my small hardware because I can’t buy the size of containers I need.
I have 26 Stanley briefcases for organizing screws and small hardware for multiple trades. Makita inserts for the smallest toolbox comes with a bunch of tiny and useless sized containers.
It would be great if I can order a bunch of large and medium containers for my small toolboxes so I can replace my Stanley briefcases for your modular system. This is where Milwaukee is definitely winning.
Also the sticker on your toolboxes need a razor and solvent to remove. I think it would be smart to let the people that buy them customize their own sticker and provide that as an aftermarket upgrade.
I’ve been a loyal Makita guy since the first 18v cordless set came out in 2003 or 2004.
I’ve met a bunch of your sales reps for the past 20 years and gave my input. The only reason I’m all in on your cordless tools is the original 6 1/2 cordless saw. Your brushless upgrade I don’t find as good which is why I currently have 5 older models.
40v chopsaw and sawzall are great though

There is a small box with a transparent lid and boxes on a 50mm grid. I'd does have several small 50mmx50mm tubs though. That's too small for the depth.

about time. took long enough. one of the gripes i had about makita lately is you have milwaukee and dewalt and now flex offering all these new high-quality storage options and makita just has the interlocking boxes from 10 years ago. these other brands are constantly offering new accessories and awesome storage options while makita has literally no ecosystem. the internal compartments don't look as sturdy as the other brands but at least there's the option now

Will you ever bring out a Makpac gen 2 which catches up with the other brands? Makpacs are licensed from the 1993 Tanos Systainer gen 1 design. They have the worst connection design of all the major brands, they are not rackable, are not reinforced with rubber bumpers, and have no weather protection. Tanos themselves are a couple of generations on. Dewalt and Milwaukee are miles further on. Those four clips per connection just don't work first time every time so you end up faffing with them.

Top storage broke the first day i got it. The hinges / latches are too tight. And the body of all of it is ABSOLUTELY brittle.
Just brittle to the clasp . The plastic turns white.. then cracks then falls appart.
( SEE IF IM WRONG ) try it.
Also.. drop ANY MAKPACK more than eight feet it shatters. 🎉

  • @martincday007
    @martincday007 Před 5 měsíci +1

MakPac system is fundamentally a good idea and a good design but the overall quality lets it down. They need to be boxes that can stand up to the tough environment of a building site.
Makita need to address the range of inserts that are available, the flimsy plastic is just not good enough and some don't even fit the items they are intended for.
Proper foam inserts should be standard but if not standard, an available extra. If Makita can't do it themselves then partner with a company like shadow foam and offer pre-cut layouts for the most popular sets.
Many people end up building their own strengthening and inserts to the cases, these should be available off-the-shelf from Makita.
