I’m trying to get into a prep school near me. The top 35 students on the entrance exam get a merits scholarship which will help my family since my brother is also going to college. Since it’s timed, I have to do it quickly. I still do pretty good, but I can do better. I especially struggle with the language subtest. Speaking of which, I forgot to learn vocabulary words and spelling words that would make life 10x easier.
i know you want this so bad but remember to check on you! from personal experience i can tell you if you overwhelm yourself your start freaking out and do bad to your health and won't help you focus on your goal. so, take care of yourself and go for it!! cheering for you!
You can do it!! I have no idea who you are but reading your comment I could empathize with you. Take it one by one, think of each step as a small achievement to the real prize. Try to make this fun for you but also work hard and I'm sure you already are. I love kdramas and kpop and Korean culture, they usually say "FIGHTING!!!" in other words, good luck and you can do it!! I'll be rooting for you :)))

I’ve been in love with this boy for over three and a half years and we’ve been together for three years and five months, and in our darkest times- we talk about how we plan to move to Japan in a few years. We’re going to escape from all of the pain we’ve undergone here and start anew. We’re going to listen to lofi together on the train, and cook together, and walk the city streets at night- all lit up by their neon signs. The tears just stream down my face endlessly at such a beautiful idea. I’ve been studying japanese for a little while now, and I think if I can stick to my studies and get the language down- it will make life there much easier. I can also help my love learn- so we both can focus less on communicational errors, and more on the beautiful memories we’re going to make. I am so, utterly in love. Continuing to go on was the best decision I ever made. I can’t wait for the upcoming adventures with my angel. Our future is going to be so peaceful. I believe in us.
That's not how moving to Japan works. As someone who's lived there, you need to look into the actual mechanics, not just trying to learn the language and cute imagery of how you think it's going to be. Unless you two are super rich, or one of you is actually Japanese, you need a real reason to go or else you're not going to be granted permission for a visa, which will only last for a certain amount of time. English teaching may be an option, but once again it's something you need to commit real research into before you consider a move. Japan isn't really a place for daydreamers. People there believe in hard work for the collective and tradition, and they are facing a lot of societal issues with their aging population as well as international stress with the China issue. I'm not saying it's impossible, but the concept of escaping pain by moving to a new place is also unrealistic. The better and more responsible thing to do is address whatever trauma you have now instead of taking it with you.

deep breath and try focus on what you can do to do your goal succesfully, can't tell you won't fail but at least you had done your best and learn from negative stuff. don't give up and focus on the bright side
