Did you manage to use Waze on it? Mine won't work, it can't get a GPS location, although Google Maps works fine

Go to the settings and allow Location access to Waze app, it should fix the issue

Yes, there are two options, You can use Live maps but you would need internet connection via hotspot wifi or SIM card. The other option is to download offline maps, then you would not need any SIM or internet connection, but you will not get live traffic updates with offline maps
