One full month in on these things now (175 miles). 150 miles of working on cement floors and 25 miles of walking on dirt/grass. So far so good. Barely any wear on the outsole. Toe is holding up great (no distortion to the look yet). Insoles I didn’t like, replaced them with a Dr. Scholls heavy duty 200 lb plus insole ($15) and the boots feel great. I’m working these things VERY HARD. I’ve treated them with sno-seal for water proofing and leather protection. I’ve also cleaned them with saddle soap twice.
I was looking at the Brunt Marin & Marin Brunt Toe....but this looks just as good but these can be re-soled. The third stich in the toe & the steel shank, wow! I think I'll be going with these.... top contender!
I have the unlined brunt Marin and they’re really good as far as comfort goes. I haven’t had them long enough to say whether or not they’ll last. I do know this, the Brunt’s don’t have a true welt. I would say that these are probably just as comfortable and probably better made. Not probably they are better made. I wanted to just try a wedge sole style boot so I went with the cheapest one I could find (which was Brunt) just to see if I was gonna like them. When I wear those out I will definitely be buying something a little better made and higher quality. Probably Thorogoods or Redwings. Or maybe even these because the free re sole would be worth about 100_120 bucks itself. If I were you and you’re looking between the 2 I’d say just go ahead and buy these. A wedge sole is a wedge sole. Just depends on how much you wanna spend.
I think that’s probably my favorite part of the boot, how wide the outsole is compared to other brands. I’ve held them up to other boots I own side by side, and the outsole is around 1/4 of an inch wider than other boots that are the same size. And it’s made a difference for me. I hope they never change that.
I have been beating the snot out of these boots in hot asphalt for almost 3 months. Aside from the typical sole delamination from high heat they have been great. If they are surviving what I'm doing with them, I'm sure they will survive just about any job.
I’ve read online that you can request a fireproof adhesive for the free resole if you need it/work in that type of industry. That will prevent delaminating of the sole in those types of tough environments.
We did a four month review. Might do a nine month review in September. But at six months these things wear like iron! I can’t kill these things. Never in my life have I abused a pair of boots this badly, and the things just don’t care. Very impressed. czcams.com/video/eiCLnsOguew/video.html

Closing in on three months of severe use/abuse/work in these boots, holding up very well. 10-12 hour days, 10,000-15,000 steps a day. Took away all knee pain I was having. Comfortable, durable.
Got both of them and they are very comfortable and are good looking but not so great when riding my bike, they have no grip on the bottom. Be very very careful if you're in lose gravel are on surfaces that are wet.
I’m finding them to be really good/consistent on cement floors, even when wet with water. But yeah, I agree, lug soles would be better for snow/gravel/oil. That’s a totally different kind of boot though. I’ve only slipped twice in these things so far...once on a hill in slush/wet snow...and the other my rear piece of heel slid on antifreeze. Other than that they’ve been good.
@@j.p.bequipment9104 Great looking boots. Thanks for the discount code With the current sale and the code, I was able to pick up a pair for $87.50. Looking forward to adding these to my boot collection. How are they holding up for you so far?
Mine are holding up great, but be warned, they run big. I’d size down one size. Just my opinion, either way, you can return them if they don’t fit. But $87 bucks for a decent quality boot is insane!!
@@doublebase6509 Thanks for the feedback. I wear a size 11 in GYW boots, and 11.5 in sneakers. Nearly all of the reviews I saw said go down half a size from sneakers and true to size in boots, so went with a size 11. Duradero has free shipping for exchanges, so I'll go down to a 10.5 if they are too big. Pretty happy with the deal I got and good to hear that they are good quality.
I want to say they either make a black sole now, or a black boot. Or both. Either way, these boots are tanks, I can’t kill these things and believe me I’ve tried.

Can’t wait to see the follow up! I bought a pair because of this video showed up today and seem to be a great quality boot!
I’m a few weeks in very happy so far.
I bought a pair of these some months back. Very comfy. I finally found a pair of boots that work with my big, very flat, very wide feet.

Oooh, we are coming up on that 6 month update time frame! Let's see that video drop soon!

The leather isn't extraordinarily thick.
Brannock (Standing) - 11E
Brannock (Sitting) - 10.5E
Duradero - 10.5M(D)
Litterally I’m a 12 in thorogood and duradero sizing chart says I’m a 10 d
I would like it if the color of the sole is black.
