This song holds an important spot close to my heart. I've always imagined "blame it on my ADD" to mean Alcohol and Drug Dependency, which is something my father struggled with. He was sad, addicted to alcohol, drugs cigarettes, living in the fast lane, and being true to yourself. We never really had a relationship because he was too busy getting drunk and throwing things, holding a g*n to his head, or driving fast and reckless. I guess this song just embedded itself into my psyche as a way to connect with him and his mindset. Being so hurt and depressed that you turn selfish and self-hating at the same time. I like this mix, makes it even more depressing and the slow beats really drive home the loneliness.

You raise your Lasrifle to your mouth, ready to pull the trigger and save yourself from the horrors they will inevitably subject your soul to. As you put your finger on the trigger, you hear the sound of great metal feet crushing concret and bending rebar, then you hear a deep robotic roar that drones on for a few seconds. You look up in the distance before you, and you are overcome by awe and fear. A great Titan bearing the insignia of the Mechanicum marches slowly across the battlefield, it's guns ablaze. You see it charge up its plasma cannon, and fire; The light was blinding and it hurt your eyes, but you could not stop looking at the beast in all it's metallic splendor. Behind you, you hear muffled cries of pain, silence, and the sound of feet treading on the ground. They got ever further, and faster. You look back to the titan and it has not stopped advancing. You fold your hands into the sign of the Aquila, and say a prayer of thanks to the Emperor for his mercy, and forgiveness, and ready yourself for one lone charge. As you raise your bayoneted Lasrifle, you begin walking towards the distant enemy entrenchments, and you find yourself sprinting. Within a few minutes, you find yourself leading scuffed up, or injured men and women in one last charge. As you all near the entrenchments you feel pride, and zeal coursing through you, building up in your lungs and throat. With a raspy voice, you let it all out of you: FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!!!!!!

This is the song of someone who was pure evil in life and now he's sailing down a river to hell to become a demon, wishing he could take back all he's done to become an angel. I'm not even religious or spiritual, but that's my first thought.
I see this song as someone who was purely righteous until he lost everyone he had loved, and slowly out of grief he becomes this new creature of pure hate and evil doing whatever he can to erase the pain of loss. Turning him into something unrecognizable to what he used to be.
