“He was an integrator. Elvis was a blessing. They wouldn't let Black music through. He opened the door for Black music. We was one of the main doors that came through. Chuck Berry was another door himself. And we’re not saying that Elvis wasn’t a main door. I would never say that. Because Elvis started white people to really sing rock ‘n’ roll”. I love him. That’s my buddy, my baby. I love him. We are very good friends, and it was a very great loss to the music world,”“Elvis is one of the greatest performers who ever lived in this world.”

This says, "In theaters FROM 28th of April", whatever. How about, "ON". Otherwise no one knows that they are saying. FROM WHEN to WHEN?!

Religion was the villain in Little Richard's life.

Just seen it. Not a bad film but one aspect of the interviews was annoying. Little Richard refers to being "gay" several times, and "homosexual" at least twice. But other participant's don't; they repeatedly refer to him (and themselves) as "queer". Considering that plenty of gay people hate this word, why on earth do they assume that Richard would have considered himself queer?

He created Rock and Roll, but it was ELVIS that made it acceptable and a hit. LITTLE RICHARD deserves his credit. He was one of a kind. He had so many things that others saw and copied. LITTLE RICHARD became famous in 1955 when at a recording session he recorded "Tutti Frutti" in 1955 which became a hit. ELVIS became a hit when he signed a recording contract with SUN RECORDS in 1954 and had a hit with "That's Alright Mama" in 1954.

This documentary is a new level of exploitation of the legend, this time by the LGBTQ community. How convenient that it was done upon his death. Good job👏

Sorry to disappoint, but this documentary gives a false rendition of history, one would expect no less from CNN Films.
I am a huge fan of Little Richard, but truth is truth. The truth is, Little Richard was not the 1st. Ike Turner came before
him & Bill Hailey along with him. He was not the King of R&R either, to place him above Elvis Presley is just silly. Little
Richard was a pioneer & arguably the greatest R&Rer, but that does not validate making false claims. It appears, the
goal of this film is not to idolize Little Richard as much as it is to idolize gay & black culture.
