Yes it will be difficult because they will need buy from all the parties for whatever they want to do but going minority may enable them to emerge victorius at the end of the day.

Not sure why you think the Netherlands and South Africa are the same, when the financially educated know that Netherlands Central Bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) is a public limited company incorporated under Dutch law. The Dutch State is the sole shareholder. Meanwhile, the BILLIONAIRE OPPENHEIMER EMPIRE founded, owns and controls the SOUTH AFRICAN RESERVE BANK as a PRIVATE SHAREHOLDER COMPANY along with Anglo American, while they forever orchestrating the rigged ZAR currency into junk status for IMF insurance bailouts in the corrupt SA economy, while at the same time the ZAR currency is tied to the economic hitman currency US dollar which is why South Africa uses US Policies. I as a high income tax paying South African residing in Hong Kong knows very well that the Oppenheimer Asia Limited has been in Hong Kong for over 140 years as stated on their website, along with their headquarters in New York. It's nice to blame the black government when you're too financially uneducated to know who owns and controls the South African economy through a privately owned Central Bank.
PATIENTS IS A VIRTUE when you're ignorant thinking the PRIVATELY OWNED South African Reserve Bank and ZAR currency is your savior, meanwhile the educated world knows that South Africa is a slow-cooking pot with trillions of IMF insurance bailouts for international investors if a civil war breaks out. South African Inc. has always been listed as asset portfolios for your white-monopoly who have international safety nets prepared for the US dollar global crisis.

I do have a question though, doesn't proportional representation in the executive based on parliamentary seats make sense...?
If the DA truly wants to help the country, they should be given infrastructure and administrative portfolios. The ANC should keep all of the ideological centered ones, like foreign affairs and labour.

The funny thing is that this is a surprise to NOBODY - Pretty sure everyone had the same thought when two parties so ideologically different split the majority vote and had to be "partners". The lack of care and concern for the South African people is disgusting from all the parties because some see it as a payday and others as another day to control things. The people will always suffer as long as we have these bitter old people in parliament.
ANC, DA whatever the party, the people in charge are from a bygone era and we will continue to suffer under the hands of those once oppressors and those oppressed seeking some sort of "revenge". I personally am very cycnial in my view of this country and where are we going. I know many South Africans feel the same way and its just tough to see a way out of this nonsense. Actually, they want to drop the number of cabinet ministries. The DA wants key ministries to exercise oversight and deal with the massive levels of corruption in government. The only reason some in the ANC, MK, and EFF don't want the DA in government is because the DA will combat corruption. The reality is that massive government corruption has a black face...not a white face. That is why the race card is being played.

We need to stop talking about these ministries as though they belong to the parties. 2) if they work with EFF and other smaller parties they'll have a majority.
Bare in mind that's what EFF and MK are counting on so they can come in and "save the ANC", the DA will have to concede some of these demands.
The constitution is clear, hiring of deputy president; ministers, deputy ministers ect is Presidents perogative.

The reason we dont have a GNU yet is that the ANC wants to keep every position that can make a difference under them. This of course means there will be no difference, we will have the same sh!t we have had for 30 years or worse as the ANC deteriorates into a pure mafia organisation. The DA HAS to fight for meaningful positions, if they dont they would be wrong. We have to hope they get some positions that can make a difference or we will carry on getting poorer and suffering more. The ANC has sucked all of the joy from everyones lives for 30 years, now they want to continue while pretending to be committed to change. They will never change.

    Good analysis sir,and congratulations.
Fact is SA is now coming out of all the deceptions of 30yrs.
There has never been things like rainbow nation,National anthem etc.
SA has since been about blacks and whites since 1948.
Scientifically speaking, like charges cannot attract each other. Its practically impossible. What we all need to do as citizens to assists politicians is to humble ourselves,be realistic, live this NATO/BRICS alliances and be pragmatic in our approach for the good of ourselves and the generations to come.
Thus, start thinking as a human race forget about this petty politicking issues about politicians, political parties manifestos,
    race,rand,power struggles etc.
My ID,yours and all of us have only our photos; not Ramaphosa or Steyhuisen.
On my side whether this GNU nonsense get done now or next year it's meaningless as it is already about power struggles,
black and white by politicians political shenanigans.
Why can't they ask us, as citizens to put a national petition as votes are being rigged?

Honestly i take this as a good thing. The amount of people I've seen actively divest themselves from politics and the benefits we get from it is impressive.
We never should have relied on anyone outside of the competent people we know in our own lives for our success. We needed to understand that working hard and working smart for ourselves or for companies that we own a significant share of is the only way to truly be free. You need to earn money by being so skilled you can replicate financial success in a more competitive market. We've had the problem of white own subcontractors extracting south africas tax resources through government contractors when the truth is most of these people are so untalented that the CANNOT build success in the private sector.
So be independent and keep working until you become better than your competition, if you care more and act like it. You will earn more and be worth more

I think the issue should have a look at what happens in other countries with proportional election system and coalitions. By international standard SA has moved at exceptional speed and maturity especially given that it's a historical first in SA. Three weeks is the speed of light to form a coalition, it normally takes months. And you would much rather have them take their time then make a rushed deal that collapses in 2 months. Grand standing in the media aside, for once we should be very glad at the maturity shown on both sides' leadership.

Unfortunately it was a red herring. My friend got all excited at this GNU. I knew the 14% to MK told us what we trying to ignore. If you combine ANC votes with MK that's 54% (never mind EFF) of the country that are inherently racist, want only policies that benefit one race and have been brought up with institutional racism. They so racist they don't allow you to even speak about it. That is the reality of South Africa. I can get along with anyone in person but in their heart they don't want me to succeed.
