Everyone thought the French GP would be boring- it was one of the most mysterious races of the season as literally all the front runners had completely different pit strategies and even Crofty praised how he had zero idea who was going to win it- well passed the midway point.. The Spanish GP is up there for being one of the worst tracks to follow cars in, so what happens? Totally different pit strategies occurred and it was seemingly anyone's race for the majority of it. Everyone thought the Russian GP would be boring, it wasn't because much of the closing stages of the race had suspense between Norris and Hamilton winning it alongside Verstappen having to claw through the field. Even for the start of the Russian GP that almost always gave boring racing, it was a Ferrari-McLaren-Williams start and most of the race had a nice chase between Ferrari and McLaren as they sailed off into the distance together. I was pinching myself! Even the shock win of Ocon and even moreso, the 1-2 McLaren finish which hasn't happened since 2010; with 2012 being McLaren's prior last win. All the collisions between the 2 title-contenders. Nearly 1/3 of the field had won a race and 65% stood on the podium. All that is just only a portion of all the memorable moments in '21.. Some of the more specific battles off the top of my head are: -Norris vs. Ricciardo vs. Sainz vs. Leclerc in United States -Alonso vs. Hamilton in Hungary -Gasly vs. Leclerc vs. Norris battle in Azerbaijan -Alonso vs. Vettel vs. Sainz battle in Bahrain -Hamilton vs. Perez in Abu Dhabi was just top notch eye-candy; their battle in Turkey was an absolute stunner too -Hamilton vs. Verstappen epic battles in Bahrain, Silverstone, Brazil, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi -Norris vs. Sainz and Hamilton vs. Norris both in the British GP, Perez vs. Bottas was another good one in that race too These listed were off the top of my head, but there were many great battles and much of them didn't make it to the TV coverage unless it was in the top 5 or so unless something really crazy (usually bad) happens in the battle and a replay gets shown.
