I Just love this Bible study. God lead me to it when I was looking for a new plan toward the end of December last year. I was sold the minute I heard her say, "Have you ever read a chapter of the Bible, put it down and said, 'What did I just read?' ". A few days later, our pastor told us in his sermon that week, that he and his wife had chosen it for themselves and highly recommended it. I love trying to get my " God shot" before she tells us hers.😊

God is a God of Correction. When my pride shuts the door on my ability to hear God’s voice, He makes it clear to me what I’ve done, and shows me how to change my habits to keep me further from sin-reminders and corrective behaviors like the incense burners that were hammered into the altar or the staff placed in the ark. His Correction is mercy, life, and sanctification.

I'm usually careful of accusing people in their wrong doing. I acknowledge that I, too, have sinned and fallen short of God's glory. As I'm writing, I remember the part of The Lord's prayer which says 'forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.' I am no better than any other human on earth. Thank God for Jesus who chose me anyway and grants me His grace and the Blessed Holy Spirit

The power of prayer is seen as Moses prays and Aaron intercedes for a sinful people.

Aaron was a picture of Jesus, making atonement for the people and "standing between the living and the dead" (Num 16:47-48).

I started TBR last October, so, the New Testament first. I am so grateful for Tara's insight, as the Old Testament has been a little difficult for me. Tara's honest feelings about her reaction to certain parts has been so comforting. I thank God for bringing me to TBR🙏✝️

For the first time my God shot matched! I know it doesn't have to, but still a blessing!
A number of years ago, I was part of a prayer team walking in a neighborhood in Pasadena, CA.
The Lord said to me, You (individually & collectively) are like censors, carrying Holy Spirit into places I have called you to.
I had an idea of what a censor is, and when I got home, I looked it up in the Bible & this story came up.
I LOVE that as God's salt & light, we are tasked to turn darkness to light & death/decay into LIFE! Praise the Lord!!!

Aloha and good morning or afternoon BR family. Glory be to God and all his blessings and favors. Trust and believe in him because he us a miracle worker. What we ask of him he will provide. We sometimes are too impatience like the Levites. We want it and we want it now. We forget His ultimate sacrifices. The verse of the day is a reminder of that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness". 1 John 1:19. He is an awesome God. He is where the JOY is!!! ✝🥰💯

These people need lots of reminders….don't we all? YES! Also…Aaron represents Jesus in the Old Testament. I love looking for examples of Jesus in the OT.

I just can't believe the Levites raised their voices against Moses and Aaron. Then after all were destroyed, they Israelites complained, after 250 were smote! Then a plague! Wow. I screw up. I'm so grateful God has mercy and Jesus gives me righteousness. Thank you Jesus.

I love that God used a budding staff to show who He has chosen among the twelve. It reminds me that every green and living thing that we see, is breathing because God has ordained it to be so. Like in psalm 139, we are all fearfully made. This thought humbles me to walk in my own path that God has chosen for me, not to grumble and be envious of anybody else's path. 🌈🌷✝️

This is a perfect picture of Jesus. The people wanted to kill Aaron and Moses, and God wanted to kill the people because of their sins. Aaron stood between the living and the dead and made atonement for the people.
Jesus stood between the living and the dead on the cross. He took God's wrath for us. On the other side, people wanted to kill Him. In this case, God allowed them to "kill Him," but then He resurrected from the dead and lives forever and ever. He is still praying for us.
