If it helps download SCS mod maker unzip your rar file, make two separate folders like mercedes base & mercedes def put each scs file into named folders open mod maker hit load mod then the extract button go to the folders edit in word pad both manifest files change to 1.49 save then put both of your extracted folders into your mod folder load the game put base first then def on top then create the truck of your dreams, hope this helps merry christmas

Most .SCS files are simply just unencrypted archives similar to .ZIP or .RAR, and can be opened with unarchive programs (I use 7-zip). Inside, you'll find files and directories.
The file manifest.sii is simply a text file that can be edited with a text editor. Inside of this file, you'll find lines like:
-- > compatible_versions[]: "1.48.*"
If you add another line below it like:
-- > compatible_versions[]: "1.49.*"
It should get rid of the compatibility warning (after saving the file and reloading the game.) This is as simple as I can make it, so if it's still confusing to you, then it's probably safer to just wait for the mod to be updated.
Note: This does not automatically guarantee that the mod will work perfectly with the latest version, it will just eliminate the warning.
