I'm sorry, but that is a matter of opinion. I've listened to gothic music, emo music, everything. I went through almost all rock styles, and this is what came out. No other music style ever made me feel the way thrash metal or other sorts of heavy metal does.

There is obviously a Gothic side in this. You can feel Sisters of Mercy's influence.

People are always comparing this band to HIM and 69 Eyes (who are their contemporaries), how do they not hear the Danzig influence?
Since "fall I will follow" they became of the same style, but NOT a copy. I lament that Chris decided to leave at such time of founding a style

Lacrimas album "Filthy Notes..." is probably the best one by the band. But yeah, Ave End is a close second. Don't really like the new stuff though. But hey! If you like this sort of music remember to check my band and our chanel!

@yukifujita Lacrimas are deffinately gothic rock but they have a lot more emotion in their sound than Sisters Of Mercy. Have a listen to For Her Light by Feilds Of The Nephilim, you will hear a lot more of a similarity there in the atmosphere and emotion. Carl McCoy has the most amazing voice. Christopher has that same ability to give me goosebumps.

Indeed you can't compare Slipknot and Lacrimas, but of course you can like them both. I do, and I also like modern sounds like dubstep.
