- Folding Paper: Visual Art Meets Mathematics
October 8, 2012
Mathematics and algorithms have enabled the art of paper folding to reach incredible heights, creating beautiful sculpture from a single uncut square of paper. This lecture discusses how mathematical "universality" results enable the design of origami in almost any shape, and gives examples of the art and science that this theory has created.
