Welcome back. Queenie! I missed you and was so excited to see a new vlog. Thank you so much for taking us to Bonhams. That was absolutely amazing. The attention to detail is stunning, especially when you think that a lot of those items were probably only seen on camera for a matter of seconds. They must have scoured every antiques shop in the UK for some of those items (wouldn't that be a fun job?)I wonder how much of it was reproductions made for the film, and how much of it was outsourced. I agree with you, my favorite seasons were the ones with Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby. I can't believe it is over now! Thanks again, Queenie, that was spectacular.

A wonderful, and very Royal vlog Miss Q. You looked royally splendid in you 2 outfits at the beginning, the Jaeger really suited you. Some amazing things at Bonhams, but I was shocked at the lack of men's clothing, apart from an odd couple of items, which weren't that inspiring. The Duke of Windsor suit was very typical of him, but the King's suit that was shown, really didn't look the type of high quality menswear that he is renowned for wearing. I loved the desks etc. The ending with the sunset, was fabulous. xx

It was a bit of a poor showing for the chaps - I was kind of surprised there wasn't a LOT more Churchill. Not even a big old wool coat! :( I wonder if the King's costumes are destined for a different future - there must still be an absolutely trove off stuff not being sold off....

HI ALFIE!!! Oh, what a fantastic exhibition that was! I wish I could have come along and drooled all over everything with you! One thing I wish they had was all the paste crown jewels, etc. jewelry. I wonder who wound up with all that? There was one Wallis brooch, the ruby and diamond feather pinned to that gown. That was the only thing like that I spotted. I think Alfie needs one of those baskets by your desk! I wonder if I could afford a framed corgi picture? I also wish those things could go somewhere like a museum where we could visit them, like they did with the Harry Potter things. Of course, is it silly to do that when the real things are also there? So much fun! (I didn't care for their version of the Kate dress...a little too much! Or rather, too little!) Good to see you again! Can't wait for the Valentine shopping! Xoxo
PS: The super elaborate gold embroidered robes were the robes from the coronation that the monarch puts on (not the archbishop) after being anointed, and then they start handing them all the ceremonial things to put on and hold. On her, they went to the floor, so I can see why you thought that. Also, the light blue frilly dress with the wide silver belt was when Diana danced with Charles in Australia (?), their last happy time, when Harry was conceived--according to the show. She wore a dark blue velvet, almost black, to the White House when she danced with John Travolta.

Oh my gosh - where were the jewels?! I bet they're in some gigantic Netflix store somewhere out there in glass cases just waiting to come out. They would probably need a specialist Auction....
Thank you for telling me about the Coronation robe - I totally didn't even think about the Queen wearing them....duh! 😅 At least I was half right about the blue dress - dancing was involved! It's all in that detailing - I just recall her smile and the movement of the dress!

I love the dress. It very autuminal. Last summer they had very nice terry towling Jaegar polo shirts for men in M&S, but they sold out!

You cannot go wrong with Jaeger ... I have a couple of their shirts, in their classic prints that never fail me ... Good Friday is March 29th ... you are such a sucker for pink! 💓 I read somewhere that the Queen always wore shoes with a 2" heel.
Oooo I love their shirts, too! They're classic arent they and just look so easily smart. I really look forward to seeing what they bring out when the seasons change :)
Haha - I am a total sucker for pink, but thinking about it have very little pink in my wardrobe - I'm going to have to remedy that!
