A Guide to… TRAINS. Farming Simulator 19, PS4. How do they work? How do they fit in with Farming Simulator 19? How do I load or unload a train? Find out with me… MrSealyp.
You have the BEST most informative straightforward shows. I use a console because I’m a farmer in real life and don’t have the time to go through everything there is for farm sim on a pc. PS4 makes it easy plug and play and you certainly help out so many of us that may have some growing pains. Thanks for sharing another outstanding show and for sharing your knowledge it’s very much appreciated 🍺🍺🍩☕️cheers mate.
I wish they would've included rail switches into the gameplay, and rails into the terrain editor. They missed out on a huge opportunity to expand the player base.
Agreed. I'd rather move equipment around by rail than using a clumsy lowboy trailer and moving harvesters one at a time. It would be nice to be able to run a spur up onto the farm yard to load harvests directly into the hoppers, and do away with the trucks.
you probably dont give a damn but does someone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Cash Lachlan I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Thanks mate, I'm sure anybody new or unsure with the franchise will appreciate you looking after them! I always enjoy your take on things, nice guide to mate.
I have played every FS-game since FS08 but I still watch all the tutorials because it's always good to refresh your memory. And believe me, with my memory it is needed!
Great video. Your narration style is great, I like that you don't have background music or other distractions. Best of all, when you're not sure of something, you say that.
thank you so much this helped me be way more efficient when transporting items. Only started playing Farming Simulator last week and didn't know a thing about the trains. Again thank you so much.
Thank you this helped a lot at first I couldn’t figure out why it would drop the 60,000 soybeans I had so I could sell them, then after watching this I remembered I had to switch to the right cart to drop the stuff! Thank you this helped
I have played for a long time already know all of this but I watch all your videos bc you are so great at what you do another amazing video keep up the good work Mr.sealyp
Hi, I'm playing on pc but I believe you can sell logs directly from the train carriage at the port grain elevator. As the train goes through the the gate into the yard there should be an ! mark you sell them there on foot off the train 😀Hope this helps! Really enjoy your vids 👍
Nice video Mr. Seeley P! I learned a couple things I didn't know! And about not being able to see all the way back is actually very realistic as you would not be able to in real life see all the way back you have to get out and go look yourself and make sure everything is hooked up and connected.
There is a wood sell point in the trainyard right by the grain sell point, looks like a rectangle on the ground. I think it gives the same price as the sawmill. There's also a wood sell point at the heating plant in the South of the map but for some unconscionable season they won't take wood chips there.
Thanks for this video. It confirms my suspicion that we do indeed have some silos to dump our crops into in FS19 when starting from scratch, even if we haven't built any ourselves yet. Some youtubers are saying they have to sell what they harvest right then, because they have no owned silos.
@@scottrjmatmsncom yes you can but if ur playing on console it's not recommend alot because it lags the game. It's ok do if ur harvesting a field and pick it when ur done but it's not wise to leave it there for a long time
One thing I noticed is that if you start filling a train car then jump to something else the filling stops, in 17 it would continue to fill unit the car was full or the silo empty. Now you have to still put until it's done.
Thank you. Thank you. I have been struggling with this the entire time I have been playing. Tho this video is from a console pov and I use a computer, it still gave me the info needed to perform it.
Long time viewer, first time commenter. I'm really excited about seeing the sidings at each silo. I hope someone makes a mod to use this sidings to detach cars you aren't gonna use...like the log car for example! Lol
There is a log/wood selling point on the west side of the trainstation at the Port Grain Elevator on Ravenport. Right next to the tracks between railroad and the container you can jump through.
Boxcar actual capacity, not estimated, is just a hair shy above 120K. This means the base train is 360+K liters. Some modded maps have more than 10 open boxcars. Essentially massive storage capacity as adhoc silos. Some maps have crane points, or you can MAKE YOUR OWN.
I found a spot on sw part of the train trail close to town, and somehow filled 1000, it looks like seed, a packet with plant on it. I can't get it out, gone around the map, Internet tells me nothing about loading seed/fertilizer in the grain bin. I *think* it could be a seed pallet and when I saw the start filling in the train neat the shop, I somehow loaded a seed pallet? By the way, that's Sugar beet and potato symbol not carrots.
I'm relatively new to FS19, and the only forestry I've done was in the tutorial but, if I were going to use the log carriage on the train I think I would buy a vehicle for loading/unloading and leave it at the sell point so I didn't have to keep driving across the map because otherwise, as you said in the vid, it kind of renders the log carriage useless. Yes it would mean needing two vehicles for loading/unloading but I think it would work? Maybe when I've got a few more hours gameplay under my belt I'll give it a go (I'm currently on about 25 hours)
Well, if you want the train to stay in one place for a while put some crop in the train, train travels on auto only when there is nothing in the bins. Also fork lifts suck at loading pallets on train, plus train takes off while trying to load pallets on flatbed car, but if you put crop in train car train stops auto driving around track, now you can load your pallets without train taking off. Edit I forgot you can put hey bails and cotton on the flatbed of the train.
nice video. Imo the maps are too small for trains to be of much use just yet. Especially on the european maps it's kind of silly as you'd not see trains with agricultural goods this way. Got to love how cars are honking waiting for the crossing barriers :p
We need to request from the developers either a "free camera" view or a way to switch focus to the attached equipment being operated (selected). The game editor has both camera operations and I don't see why it can't be included in game play. This would also be handy in some cases when operating the larger seeders and cultivators. The usefulness of the train is pretty limited unless (as you have shown) you have a large field near one of the "other" silos and want to sell to the port selling point. Other than that, it seems more like eye candy than anything else. It runs entirely too fast around the track when unattended. For the sake of believability, the tracks it runs, except in a few places, would have a top speed of 35mph. The river bridge would probably be reduced to 20 or 25 mph. I only just today downloaded the editor, but as far as I can tell, creating a log carriage that tips into a track-side lumber yard selling point is completely do-able, but it will take extensive modeling, animating, sound design, and scripting to match the quality of the game's content.
With the way that the silos show the amount of grain being all inclusive, how do you know which one has your crops? Do you have to drive to each of them until you find it? Or, can you access your stored crop from each of the train elevators no matter where you dropped the grain? Hope that makes sense....
MrSealyp, each railroad silo has 200k capacity separately. When you hit L3 to load a trailer or a train car you can see the total capacity of that silo at the top of the window that pops up. In FS17, storing crops in those silos costs money every midnight. Is it still the same I don’t know. But I assume it is not because you start with crops in them if you are in new farmer mode. And each train car has 120k liters capacity.
Just found your channel and appreciate the great info. Do you know what the requirements to load directly into rail cars without a station are? I had everything setup to load sunflower using chaser but it refused to unload to anything but the root crop car. I did confirm I can load them into any car from the station so not sure if this is intended or if I'm doing it wrong. Thanks again for the great videos.
I was do a harvesting contract on field 16 and to take it to Grains Elevator at fensbrunn. I was wondering could I of used the train. I should of tried it really
(Perhaps this has been stated below) Selling from a full rail car has the advantage of getting the best price for your produce. Selling by the trailer-load can result in the price lowering between loads.
Is it possible to load grass, silage, hay on the trains? or is there still the same restriction as in 17? As a breeder of cows and sheep only, trains do not have much function .
So I have this problem when I’m doing bales. After a certain amount of bales that come out of the baler (LSB 1290 D) it will kick me out of my tractor (doesn’t matter which tractor I use) and says “don’t drive too deep into the water”. Then my tractor and baler starts to fly across the map. I’ve tried a new game, resetting the baler and tractor, selling and rebuying the equipment but it keeps doing the same thing. Does anybody know how to help?
In 17 you could fill the train and leave it sit, in 19 I tried putting grain from the silo into the train, then went back to harvesting. Next thing I know the train is moving again, I jumped to it and the grain was gone, I quickly went to the silo, the grain was back in the silo. So I don't think the grain storage idea will work.
I'm a bit confuse. what's the purpose of moving crop using train from Other Silo A to Other Silo B? coz you only got 1 indicator for all Other Silo, what im trying to say is, example i have 100000 wheat in my Other Silo and i going to get 25000 wheat from Other Silo A and get 75000 wheat from Other Silo B. it will work right? i dont need to transfer my crops using train? Please correct me if i'm wrong. thank you
it would be nice if we could have a modded map that gives us a terminus and allows us to buy more trains and train cars, that way i can have a train solely dedicated to grain for example. i also hope that when we get the no collision mod, we also get a mod that allows us to place vanilla lights into the world, with restrictions like big ass 360* lights like those on the train silo will need to be close to a building to be built, and mobile deployable lights can be bought and hitched into a truck or tractor and will only run if it has fuel onboard, that would make harvest evenings much more bearable xD for the record im a brand new player to the farming simulator franchise, so i dont know if any of what i said already exists in previous versions like fs17
Try using the hack from fs 17 put the vehicle on the trailer with straps and put a small log on the vehicle the strap will go over the log and hold the vehicle down
I’ve been playing on the Estancia Lapacho map the last few days and noticed in menu I had 53200L of Wheat in Silos Other and was wondering what that was. I watched this video and thought the answer had at last been found. I drove to all the Train Siloson the map to find my secret stash of wheat, only to find all Silos report being empty. So I have no idea where the game is stashing that 53200L of crop but I really want it as there must be a lot of money in that with the Harbour currently offering £620 for it.
there are 3 rail accessable crop depos you can dump at on EL map, but they are not connected. If you dump at one, thats where the crop is. It is not accessible at the others. Go check the other two for your mystery crops...lol

Can u sell grains from the train(wheat canola ect) because it only seems to have a root crop sell point. And there is a bug with that map, biogas and biomass plants are not always listed in the prices page
I accidentally unloaded chaff into the train car and it won't let me sell it or store it in a silo. I've tried everything to get it out but no luck any suggestions on how to get it out?
I have used the train on the ps4 the train will hold 300000. But the question would be is their a mod to either change train cars or to add to the train length?
Since your uncertain between the differences of Farm Manager and Start From Scratch, basically the difference is only the money you start with, differences in crop prices is also there, but everything else is the same. You start with absolutely nothing in both modes.

I see it still has that annoying circle draw thing.. any way to remove it?
And Giants really messed up that train, you don't see car couplings like that in North America. In FS17 they had the right ones.
I have used the train on the ps4 the train will hold 300000. But the question would be is their a mod to either change train cars or to add to the train length?
Help I Loaded up Solid Fertilizer in the fist train car and i cant find a way to get it back
Is there a way to fix PS4 hud yet?? Mines cut off on the right side and it’s super annoying!
What happened if you leave the cover off? Whilst travelling ?
can trains be used in multiplayer? I dont see the option to tab to a train in my server
The host can set whether players can tab to trains; ON/OFF. It's just a convenience thing as a lot of people don't use trains at all.
The scroll train shut off was on fs17
Since your uncertain between the differences of Farm Manager and Start From Scratch, basically the difference is only the money you start with, differences in crop prices is also there, but everything else is the same. You start with absolutely nothing in both modes.
