I always laugh cuz people are so surprised when I get out of the Fiesta, people assume it's cramped inside but it's actually super roomy, especially if you've got a bucket seat like you and I got Griff. Looking forward to the Miata content, I'm personally planning on getting an ND which has way more space for the BIGGEST of bois, but I love the spec on your NB.
6'7 here, daily drove a '00 w/o a foamectomy, giant legs, etc 😂 it was very doable, top up and all, only mod had to be removed/replaced door panel with aluminum plate to give room to hit the clutch.
This was great 😂 I’m 6’3 and test drove an NB, but couldn’t justify it for a daily. There’s a guy in the UK tho who’s 6’7 w an NB and has some vids on good mods for tall guys (hint: smaller steering wheel is the key).

I just test drove a ND Miata and sadly it was awful. Being 6’4 210lbs I thought I’d have more room than I did. I had to anticipate moving my whole leg just to press the brakes. 😮 so with a heavy heart I will not be getting this car 😢

I’m 6’2”, 220lbs and if the 2023 Miata seat was 2” further back and 2” lower, I could test drive it, but not daily it. I commute 76 miles each day in my 1990 Miata.

@@GriffinBlanchard I do a lot of racing sim in my free time and BRZ was something I was used to skirting around in. But the Fiesta checks a crazy amount of boxes and stock feels faster so yeah it was tough.
I like miatas, I think theyre funny little cars, basically grown up go-karts. But as someone thats 6'8", I dont think that'll work out to well. Guess Ill have to look elsewhere. Thank you for taking your time on the video though, really appreciate the overview
Drove a buddies NA Miata. I’m 6’8 and I fit decent. My biggest problem was my clutch foot has nowhere to rest at so it’s just hovering on top of the clutch. Only time my foot rests is when I’m at a stop so I just hold the clutch down. The top is down btw. I can bang gears fine too. I feel like if my buddies Miata was mine, I’d take the foam out of the seats and buy a smaller steering wheel and I would be happy
Oh also. I am not a skinny guy lol. I’m a little chunky and my buddy not having his armrest in helped me out a fuck ton. I love seeing people’s reaction of a guy driving a Miata with his head over the windshield.
Buddy said he’s getting bucket seats soon so ima try it one more time and if I can fit in a NA with a bucket seat and the top up I’m getting one 100%. Buddy is like 6’0 but a lot more heftier than me
@@GriffinBlanchard You could get a C5 pretty cheap before covid tax hit. I was picking them up with around 40k miles for 11-13k. Everyone is on crack now though
im the same height but your me if I lost 75 pounds , my thighs are probably another half of yours again, i remember getting in my sister in laws na manual and not being able to turn the wheels as my knee was stuck between the wheel and the door, actually thinking of getting an auto one off these as i have a manual car now but am over changing gears.

I'm a 6'3" midget (and fat) and fit nicely in a NA, 'racing' flat door card and a 300mm wheel w/ quick release make a huge difference without a seat swap or cutting
@@GriffinBlanchard hard to say a FRS is better than GR86 if the BRZ is = to a FRS, because a BRZ and GR86 are the same power plant and drivetrain. So, it’s more like a BRZ/GR86 and FRS are at the top, but personally being taller, I like the Genesis. Anyway, someone needs to make too less version.
I don't think total height is the issue, but rather proportions. I really want one because it would be fun at autocross. Sadly at 6'3" with over 36 inch inseam, I physically don't fit. My knees hit the dashboard. Wish Mazda would make a stretch version. It may even look nicer if the car was slightly longer 😅
