I don't know if Agnes is worth it. Molrusso has front row regen without even needing max BP + duration extension.
I luv Tressa but the fact is she's kinda hard to use for tanking without Edea A4 since she needs to setup sidesteps and tank at the same time 😓Good for breaking Yan Long fast though!! Korede do?!!!
Thanks for the forecast! F2P here. I'm doing the "step one pull only" to save as much free currencies as possible until my desired banner arrives. How long is the timeframe from a character's release before they are added to the general pull?
I'm saving for Nier collab...do you have an idea how long will it come in SEA ver of the game since it's launch?

NieR was about 8months into EN release, so its quite a ways out.
I have been playing two weeks now when I came across your youtube channel on beginner guides. I have spent all my rubies on banners carelessly, sadly I did not get either Lynette, Primrose, or Cyrus, but I am already at chapter 8 of master of all. Now I am wondering if Is it better to create a new account and reroll for lynette and save rubies? Or just playthrough my account and save whatever ruby I have left for future.
Personally, I would wait for cyrus to enter the general pool, reroll then for lyn+cyrus and start saving from there.

I cannot agree with you about getting a single of every BD unit, I'm mad that I did it myself back then in global.
Edea and adelle were cool DPS that I didn't really need, and Agnes' healing abilities were so bad compared to Theo and then Ophilia whom I actually pulled for later. Spent so much on BD collab that I could get 2 MTs now instead.
Also about Hasumi, I do recommend pulling her, as you said she's very good now and even if she will fall off in the far future, progress made to her A4 accessory that is actually an amazing tool to have is a valid reason to have the enjoyment of playing with her now.
3 things I'll recommend on doing is step 1 pretty much everywhere, hoard seals for a bit right now, to have the general pool growing with more than the recent few units and cotc8 and the last thing is - get odette if she comes early she can keep you satisfied for a year and can replace your need of pulling so many random units off gen pool, she's a heavy investment but carry cotc early gameplay and keep you satisfied.

@@Vell42 primrose besides buffer is a great dark and fan DPS, I think having her is nice as you will encounter various fights which she will be useful and semi-mandatory in them at the beginning because of the lack of DPS in her field so if you care about completing end game side content such as lv 100 npcs straight away you should pull for her, if you don’t mind holding off for a bit and hoard more then that’s fine and even better, by pulling better further units you’re in good chances to eventually spook her
I was a spender from day 1 who basically did a mix of getting lucky and swiping to make sure I got 95% of the meta units on release, so my perspective isn't really coming from a place of "these are the minimum units you need to succeed". Its instead coming from the perspective of "I had EVERY unit at these points in time, and these were the ones that came to most fights even with every option available to me".
So with that being the POV I look at it from, Primrose basically became my AoE Viola, with Lynette's bemusing to extend/cap edef down for ele teams, and then Fiore's crumbling to extend/cap def down for phys teams. Along with enabling the fights I talked about.
Eliza is a character that I skipped thinking I would spook her quickly, and ended up not seeing her for 10+ months, and in that time, I lost out on quite a few cool clear strats due to my Prim/Odette not nuking hard enough. This mostly came from my lack of respect for backpack characters early on, so that's why she gets a rec from me.
Adelle is our first taste of a REAL dagger in the game, and while I agree she isn't needed, she came to almost every fight in that era for her single target x3 crack, even off weakness 3BP afterimage was a great nuke, and sidestep with Edea a4. I used her in the role of a jack of all trades to fill so many early on hard to fill comps, like spear, fan, staff, fire, light, and dark.
Edea a4 is just objectively the most enabling and powerful a4 in the first year+ of the game, and I know dozens of f2p who got baited by Master Roxas in the discord into Agnes a4ing, so I know its a possible thing for f2ps to shoot for if they start holding out right after Primrose.
Agnes is just a kit condenser, If you have Theo & a solid build burst healer already by the time she comes out, she 100% isn't needed to succeed. But she takes those two slots and does them all by herself. Giving you an extra slot for buffers, debuffers, or a tank. She gets powercrept by Ophilia who also does this, so its perfectly reasonable advice to skip her and wait for Ophilia, but calling her a lesser healer to Theo is a bit of cope. I had Theo Millard in every comp that required heavy healing, and she replaced both of them comfortably.
I didn't talk about SB units because JP and EN got WILDLY different release orders and timings for them, so I plan to talk about those as they come to SEA instead of speculating.
Nicola and Hasumi a4s are very good as well, but they are units you are better off spooking to get most of the copies of, and then using the awakening exchange to finish off the last 1 or 2. As that is the time period stuff like that will really see its full use anyways.
@@DreamtOf I respect all your perspectives about those units but the issue is that with more and more pulling recommendations you stocked up right here a pile of units that can be benched in few months that you are likely to spends 5 digits amount of rubies to get them, sure you can pull for primrose, and for Eliza, BD can be decent (as unit, the A4 is a territory im not getting into) but the more units you’re piling up the more absurd in my opinion will be the amount of rubies you will spend for units you will grow to despite over the fact you spent rubies for them, also on early game when the pool is still small you’re REALLY likely to spook some units along the way, sure maybe not all/most and not the specific ones you wanted but your roster will grow, I understand your perspective for all the units you mentioned I just believe from my experience as an f2p that if you really wanna enter the main course of the game satisfied you must tune it down (or get lucky lol).
I totally agree about Hasumi, and I think Kouren is really underrated.

Nice vid! Eliza came almost alongside Viola and Primrose. I went hard on Cyrus (and didn't get him) and as F2P only have 1300 rubies now. I'm kinda traumatized by the Cyrus banner and feel like if I don't have enough to pity I probably won't get them.. Any advice? Will I be able to get them in the general pool or maybe future banners? This game isn't super F2P friendly when it comes to gacha. Although, I already have a team of 1 of each weapon and element I think.
It's better to skip for now with that ruby pool, you will pull a lot of skipped units as you go. The game can seem not f2p friendly because the spark pity is so high, but it's f2p friendly in that in the long run you will get most units and there's many many comps you can use to clear the content, you just won't get units or clears on release sometimes.
@@DreamtOf Just an update. I actually have Cyrus on my main and alt account (alt being the account I linked to my Playgames account before I knew how to reroll). Funny though how I got him on a YOLO 10 pull on my alt and on the free daily single pull during the valentines event on my main. Kinda makes me feel bad for trying so hard for him when I started the game. We're now on the BD Collab for Edea and Adelle. This video helped a lot. Do you have a part 2 for the next units coming out? I have 5K+ on my main now. Also, when does the job towers come out? Trying to get Sacred seals to star up 4.5's with hunts is frustrating lol

Hi, i pulled for primrose banner.. i want to ask what happens to primrose shards that i haven't exchange if the banner is done?
They disappear at the end date for the exchange shop, so buy the guidestones or berrys or shards you can before they disappear.
SEA newbie here, is Primrose same as Primrose Ex? seeing too many guide and got confused which is better.
They are different units, its like how you can alt job in the original game.
Primrose is a Dancer with Buffs, Debuffs, and Dark/Fan attacks.
EX Primrose is an Apothecary with even more Buffs and Debuffs, but replaces attacks with Heals.
Both are VERY strong units. You want to get both, but EX Prim is over a year away.
Also since this is my first time playing octopath what unit should i try and get on the upcoming units? Thx for answering
The first few units assumed to come are pretty much skips, so just hold onto your rubies for now.

He is relatively new in JP, and SEA is ~2years behind JP, so assuming you move at a faster rate than they did, prob ~18 months or so is my guess.
What will be happen to the memory shard if the banner gone and then it's rerun. Do the memory shard will be exist ?
They disappear, so use your spares to get the guidestones and shards.

Her banner is a good way to fill out your 4 star roster, and she is a good unit, I also missed cyrus from starting my SEA account late and I pulled for her. But you can also just save up until cyrus is in the gen pool, and a good unit comes so you have a chance to spook him while going for another strong unit.
Dreamt, I have four star Viola, is it worth to gacha her in choosen traveler banner to raise her until five star ? Or there will be another good debuffer later in the future ?
Viola is perfectly fine as a 4.5star, you still get her triple dagger, and both of her debuffs.

I dunno if recommending people to pull on a collab banner solely for an A4 is smart. Like, it's smarter than how I managed my rubies at the beginning in EN, yeah, but it's a collab A4 and I don't remember Edea getting a separate banner.
Sure it opens up a lot of strategies, but so would using those rubies for more units.
The advice is just what I would do if I was restarting in SEA with all my current knowledge, the girls all had separated banners week by week, so you could target for a4 reasonably.
SEA will get Ninalina before EN. Calling it now.

Hey Dream, do you think the current banner on Global for 4* & 5* units at step 4 & 5 respectively, is a bait banner? It seems like they dropped it so that people use all their gems on it before the release of Bargello. What do you think? Also, are we getting any free summons for Christmas? I don't remember what happened last year.
I think it is a bait banner. However, my son started an account and wants to pull on it 4 rounds because he has limited characters. In the first round of step ups he got 4.5 therese, 5 millard, 5 star harley, and a scarecrow dupe. He was very sad about that!

SEA is always kinda the canary in the birdcage for stuff like this, but most games that get a multi region release get a good 2-4 year run from SQEX. Even from low rev games like sinoalice & nier reincarnation.

I would say hold the stones for now, but you can pop him to a3 should you ever run into a fight where a3 Devin doesnt cut it.

Hi im new. Just wanted to ask if primrose starts as a 4 star when you get her or if she has a 4 star version? I just got her but im confused on why she's a 4 star when it said she was a 5 star
4* of 5* means they are lesser version of their 5*
They are 5* but Lvl, Jobs point screen are capped at 4*
in order to raise them to 5*, you either need to pull their original 5* and they will automatically class up. Or manually farm their stuff to class them into 5*

F2P: You should probably be skipping and waiting to see what SEA's first Sacred Blaze banner will be. You will have a high chance to spook him in whatever upcoming banners you do choose to blow your stash on. On this topic, you should ONLY be doing value step 1s of the step up banners if you are HARD HOLDING and want value on the way to that. If you are the kind of f2p player who likes to roll on character you like and aren't meta slaving, those values and yolos add up and will make you feel true ruby poverty.
Spender: Your spending privilege is finally kicking in, grab a copy or a1 of him depending on how lucky you get. You will enjoy kicking Tiki's ass. :ThumbUp:
Whale: Of course you have to the character whos story most closely relates to our spending habits :Smilers:. His a4 is the best accessory for bow comps even currently in JP, so you can pull to start working towards that. The first year of the game is the time where bow feels the most powerful, so enjoy it!

His wont, but he will be included in the gen pool next major patch update, and there will be step up banners for gen pool or specific classes as we go.

You 100% can save up, but just know those banners are 7+ months out at this point, so thats a lot of willpower.
