Symptoms of fault
Has the glovebox lid handle from your Citroën C4 snapped, fed up of not having access to your glovebox or of it being permanently open, don't want to replace the whole lid?
The fault
The glove box handle is delicate and snaps easily; stopping normal usage of the glove box
It is a common issue with Citroen C4 vehicles for items to become jammed in the glove box lid, this leads to pressure being put on the lid handle, this is a delicate item and snaps very easily. Until now this either left owners without access to their glove box or the glove box was left permanently open. The only alternative was to purchase a new lid at £150+
The solution
Fit our stainless steel glove box lid handle and use your glovebox again!
We now have THE solution, our stainless steel replacement glove box handle, this fits in the slots that the plastic handle used to and operates in the same way, the only change is it is made from stainless steel and will not break, oh and it looks great too!

I had first tried a plastic replacement that broke just trying to fit it, so went for this metal version . The video is very helpful, but take a moment to see how the handle works. It swivels on the two circular pins, which have small location brackets (or lugs) on the inner side of the outer skin of the glove box lid. That is why it is necessary to push the handle up into these lugs and this is best done one at a time, as shown on the video, but is helpful know what you are trying to do. You can see these lugs from the inside of the glove box lid, better still with a torch. If you have difficulty locating the spring ends, these can be located by using two small screwdrivers, one to hold the spring in position and the other to then push it slightly up and then back into the handle recess. The springs then provide the tension for the handle to work. The metal handle looks good and has a very solid feel.
Just followed this guide myself - works great. If you've still got the old lock stuck in the hole like I did then I found levering the latch out from the inside of the door was the best way to get it to snap and detach from the spring.

purchased one of these 2 days ago. Fits perfect ,fit it in 30 seconds after watching this excellent video. Well done X8R just saved me about £80 to £130 for a new glove box. You will need the spring though to keep the glovebox tight shut. Good as new.............

I'm having a lot of difficulty popping this in, should i remove the entire glove box?
but do i need to take the door off as shown or can it be done with the door left on
It can normally be replaced in situ with the door left on.
Great gadget, although not an easy fit, I must say. All in all, will save you over £150, so can't complaint!
I’ve tried for hours on end and looked at several tutorials but it won’t install I’ve pushed with an extreme amount of force but it seems to just not work
Double check the way the spring is fitted, this may be hindering the handle to be pushed in
