    Sounds like you're talking about regret, which I agree is totally unpleasant. I wonder what the relationship is between uncertainty and regret? Are we more likely to regret decisions that we were uncertain about from the start? Or, as you said, does regret generally result from a change of perspective long after a decision has been made?
