This is great for Chicago, I'm still looking for someone to bring up high speed rails. Chicago is the perfect location and infrastructure to become a hub for high-speed rails. Imagine the jobs and revenue it could create.
The Mainstream Tunnel along Ogden Ave was dug below the elementary school I went to. I remember we were talking about tunnels as part of a school lesson and my 2nd Grade teacher (who taught there for a really long time) told the class that there was a tunnel right under the school (I believe referring to it as the "Mainstream Tunnel"). She also said that there is a door (which looked like a locked door to a custodian closet) right in the hallway outside the classroom (which was located in the basement of the school) that behind it was stairs that went to the tunnel (likely was an access shaft for workers when the tunnel was being built in the 1970s or 80s). This particular door was never opened when I went to school there in the 2000s (and not even by the custodian as it wasn't a custodian closet). I personally doubt he (or anyone in the school) even had a key to open the door.
Not sure how thrilled I am about the water system I drink from having its infrastructure this clearly detailed on the Internet, but it is very interesting.

I wonder if we will ever hear of a sinkhole in one of these tunnels in the future? Reading about a sinkhole in Alton linked me here. These tunnels are basically mine shafts.

Missed opportunity, I'd have called it The Pit.
Though i wonder compared to the size of a river and the amount of rain water. How % can be directed here. If we look at a size of a river and then how much rain water it will re-direct. It seems these reservoirs are "small".
is it true Milwaukee was best to do it?

Started in the 1970s it’s different parts of it. In the south suburbs particularly north of Homewood I think that reservoir been operational since early 2000s
It's nice to back to a time where they could say that there are differences between men and women without snowflakes being triggered.
