15:40 - 15:52 John Feigenbaum: Instead of "what album you should be making that you're not making", maybe the better question for Whitman should be what is Whitman going to do to accommodate people who are moving their coin collections from albums over to slabbed coins! For example, what about Whitman making a coin storage box that can hold NGC, PCGS, and CACG slabbed coins all at the same time? It's the simple things like this which can help Whitman move into the future.

I feel attacked! I'm an engineer and felt called out when Ben and John were talking about engineers collecting! 😂

Lol- engineers / designers - my friend had to replace his right front head lamp bulb. He had to take and drop the front bumper to change it!!! HHHMMMM

By the way - I wasn't making fun at you in any way - it was supposed to be a lol moment. I sincerely apologize I could have said it better. Having no coin collectors involved is a good thing as you have non biased observations that leads to new ideas
      Best Wishes

So, the Greysheet needs Morgan dollar pricing for AG, G, VG, F coinage. Instead of just starting with VF 20

2018 and 2019 at the Long Beach Expo. I was asked to write a book on variety and error coins by one of the bigwigs at the Whitman table. To this day, I kick myself for not taking that offer. I know so much more today. lol
Thank you for taking the time to do this Ben.

I like what John is doing with the albums. They used to drive collectors purchases. I wonder how this will pan out with many collectors moving to slabs and the drought of album releases over the last 10 years. Hopefully if finds out more ways to incorporate modern commemorative coins. Maybe add a full page for the dollars and 1 for the halves in the type albums.

Never knew this was happening. Bummer. Interesting it is held two out of three days during the work week. Two days most people can't go. Maybe those days are geared toward dealers instead of the public generally. I dunno. But it seems like Sundays would be big.

Iirc it used to run to Sunday but a lot of vendors would pack up early and leave after Saturday because Sunday was pretty slow / they had to travel home

Dad. Husband. Surfer. Coin collector. In that order.
Whitman needs to create a type set similar or better in quality to Dansco and do a 1 pg gold type page

In 1967 my first coin purchase was the 1921d dime XF . Later completed the Jefferson nickel set then a Washington quarter set . On to the Bust Halfs from 1807 to 1836. Now I'm writing a book report on all Al C. Overton reverse die rotations of that time period . Competent Numismatist .

  • @michaelgoodspeed846

How about an album / albums that allow a thin slide that allows to add dates - like the blank holes - just beow coin so one may makebtheir own dates on them and slide them in. I didnt think this out - just out of the box idea. Then the same for blank extra pages ? So there is a way for a collector to create their own pages. Of course, could these extra slides be custom ordered? I know there would be production costs. But i leave that to the engineers. So basically offer a way to allow collectors to request and customize the albums for the specifics they collect.

Hi Ben! Great interview. Love hearing the business side of things. Also I would love for Whitman to allow creation of custom albums. For instance, I collect Russian ruble coins. With technology and POD it shouldn’t be that difficult.
