    awesome man! ive been on the fence trying to figure out if I should get the complete DEC kit or the completed Todd's...great video!

      Todd's kit is great as the FH and BB are steel and it comes with his super accurate scope. But with Field Marshal's recent kit (which was not available last year when I picked this up) is an interesting option as well.

    what did you use on your scope to give it the color?

    • @zjunlimited
      @zjunlimited  Před 6 lety

      I scuffed the surface with a gray 3M pad infused with some 3-in-1 oil to knock down the shine. Then in certain areas, scuffed more to give it more of a weathered appearance. I didn't use any blueing chemicals or paint.

    How hard was it put on the wood grips?

    • @zjunlimited
      @zjunlimited  Před 5 lety

      Not difficult. It does require some shaping of the inner grip to fit the contours of the handle. A good needle file set and you should be good.

    If you look frame by frame as Han pulls his blaster out before shooting Greedo, you'll notice the scope knob is actually on the side and NOT the top.

    • @zjunlimited
      @zjunlimited  Před 5 lety +3

      I think there's a knob on top and the side and it's a different version of the Han blaster for ANH...otherwise know as the Greedo Killer than the Hero. Completely different design.

      It actually is a different gun because that scene was filmed in Hollywood while much of the rest of the movie was in England and they could bring the gun prop with them. However the design looks very similar. I doubt they would change it SO much for the audience to notice.

    • @zjunlimited
      @zjunlimited  Před 5 lety

      In the era before digital and HD, certainly not. Even today most people probably wouldn’t notice nor care. But when you see them side by side almost everything is different. An example below.

      @@thereturningshadow Oof- Weren't you attacking people on other videos for "Not knowing how the prop was like in the film"?
      I mean the fact that you didn't know the difference between the greedo killer and the hero is just sad.
      Even worse is that you assume the greedo killer didn't have two knobs. Yikes from me.
      And no. The designs didn't look very similar. Infact please educate yourself on the topic before you go attacking people with YOUR misinformation.

      @@thereturningshadow But the scope mount was scratched up in the film. Go into the Therpf, they have screengrabs that are constantly debated. The weathering progressed throughout the film.
