Dua Lipa is the best thing in mainstream music. An icon in the making. Very impressed with her artistic vision lately. She literally brought back what’s it’s like to have a vision for an album, and then performed it!
Icon is a strong word. Bruno Mars is ICONIC.
They said: “in the making”. Don’t get offended. There are loads of incredible WOMEN (not men) who are icons in this industry and she’s growing up to be up there too. Period.

Artistic vision doesn't come from Dua. It comes from her team. And her label. The label earned so much money from her album so she had this huge stage and performance planned out for her. She is more of a product than an icon. Hope she will have artistic freedom in her following albums tho

There was something so special about this performance - when it transitioned to the stage and the crowd was screaming I just felt emotional 😭 normality is coming back

The Spice Girls influences are so iconic! There are elements of all their styles in her outfits. And she doing Geri’s peace sign ✌️ and saying “girl power” on the red carpet.
She reminds me of Amy Whinehouse and Katy Perry mixed together. She’s the embodiment of improvement and getting better. She’s improved in every aspect, singing, dancing, performing. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I can give you a bit of insight on the Tube station!
Charing Cross has a set of abandoned platforms where the Jubilee Line used to terminate before it was extended. The platforms are maintained by TfL because they rent them out for filming. Virtually any time you see a Tube set in film or television it's now filmed on the disused Charing Cross platforms! 😁
Loved that she was channeling Spice Girls and Amy Winehouse for British fans to feel “nostalgic” for the past in terms of girl power but modernised it for the future. That is proper “Future Nostalgia”
I hope anyone of all ages (male, female etc.) appreciates Dua Lipa in the long run x
For anyone interested, they didn't close down a public tube station to film this. This was filmed on the old disused Jubilee line platforms at Charing Cross, which are now only used for filming and testing out new things for station platforms (like platform humps), as well as for storing trains whenever there's a disruption on the line
As for the train, this was a normal 1996 stock Jubilee line train, that was running out of service so only the film crew had access to it
hands down best performance of the night. she is definitely one of the best performers out right now, what an amazing show.
Underneath Charing Cross tube station there is an entire platform that is disused (from the time the Jubilee Line still went there) that is only being used for filming purposes these days. That’s this one. There is another one at Holborn. If you ever see the tube in films or on TV it’s almost always one of these two.

I agree about the Pink thing in a sense because I feel she was being sung over, but disagree about Olivia and Drivers License - I really liked it. Griff was cool. Thanks again, Georgina.
They have a ‘Ghost’ station that they have on the London Underground which they only use for things like filming and events. It’s actually the same station they filmed one of the recent James Bond films in. There’s plenty of tours on CZcams, it’s really interesting! Means that if anyone wants to make a film they don’t have to close the underground.
