Hi Cat and to everyone on this comment thread! I hope I can help a little bit: I TOTALLY feel you. It's really confusing and as someone who has a master's I'm STILL confused sometimes! Something I try to do is try to visualize where I see myself in 10 years: where am I working? In a school? A clinic? A hospital? Who am I working with? Children? Adults? Persons struggling with addiction? And what am I doing? Teaching? Giving medicine? Providing therapy? I hope that helps a lot. At the end of the day many mental health fields do intersect! So just because you commit to one doesn't mean that it's the wrong or right one! Best of luck ✨

I, by the way, am sort of contemplating on whether or not I should definitely pursue a lifelong career as a social worker in the state of California. Of course, I am quite passionate in regards to assisting folks that sadly suffer from a psychological disorder because I was also diagnosed with a mental illness. Obviously, this inevitably caused me to be far more compassionate, caring, as well as devoted in a sense especially for this particular population. I, however, just simply need to finish my bachelor program in Sociology before applying for my master's. It is noteworthy that I officially graduate from my undergraduate this upcoming May of 2021. I, on the other hand, am most certainly proud of such pure dedication.
