Thank you for standing up for ESA owners! ❤️ Unfortunately too many people abuse the system for ESA’s and there are far too many uneducated owners or fakes. I do understand that SD owners find them problematic, as they have to deal with fakes in public 😩
I’ve had my ESA for about 2 years now, and I I love to educate others about ALL assistance animals. I have a Instagram for my pup and highlights page with information and laws on ESA’s and everyone loves it! I always get messages from SD handlers that say thank you for being a responsible ESA owner! 🥺
oh my gosh! of course! thank you for being responsible! we all have to stick together & help educate people. :) what is your doggos instagram?! i'd love to follow it
@@thepawswithpurpose Aww absolutely! Thank you sm 🥺 Also my pups IG is @maine.duo! ❤️
I feel like I get less attention with just the leash wrap than I do a vest
that's great! :) i'm glad that works for you!
I definitely agree that it’s not the dogs fault is there an ESA and their owner is in responsible enough to take them out in public even though they’re not legally allowed to be in public and not properly trained to do so. I hope your dog feels better soon. You mentioned living with horses and turkeys, do you live on a farm land? Any tips or tricks for socializing your service dog in training with farm animals like horses?
yes i do!! and i would say lots of controlled exposure! just making sure they are exposed to that sort of thing while in a really controlled environment so they think it's just a normal thing and don't get reactive. :) i hope this helps!!
That makes sense. I’m thinking about taking my service dog to the therapeutic riding center are used to attend to start socializing in there so that when I go to a grad school and intern at a similar place my dog will have already been exposed to them.
I'm 11 and have a Service dog! I trained my service dog and got her tested by a professional :) And she pasted! Love your videos!
that's awesome! good job! and thanks so much for watching :)
@@thepawswithpurpose No problem!
Before I got a service dog I though registries were real 😂 but having a good legit registry could be useful all the registries are just scams for money
haha i knowww. it would be nice to have a legit one!!! :) it would probably help with access issues haha.
Same here!! 💜
Just found your account, thank you for making videos! I have been on the waiting list for a service dog from an organization for a couple years now, so finding new content for service dog stuff is always nice! I am off social media so I am limited to whatever I find on CZcams
thanks for watching!!!! and i hope you get your new pawtner soon!! :)
I’m not toxic and I’m in the community! Just found your channel and love it! ❤️
THANK YOU!!!
Thank you for this 💕
Didn't notice a difference in the quality. The video only goes up to 360.
Also can you do a training outing video?
okay. i'll mess with the settings! i know nothing about cameras haha. i will try to do a training outing video but because of covid i haven't been doing too much! :)
This was uploaded on my birthday! I'm a new subscriber, I'll hopefully be getting a service dog soon!
I recently turned 12 and I have a fully owner trained SD with no help from a professional trainer. This is because I am a professional trainer. I've been training dogs since I was 7 and I still do to this day. My SD knows 94 tasks to mitigate my disabilities. My disabilities include POTS, PCOS, ASD, SPD, GAD, ED, Chronic migraines, RA, PTSD, and a bunch more.
good for you! i'm glad that worked for you, i was just saying that generally speaking younger kids don't have the skill set needed to fully train a sd. nice work! :)
@@thepawswithpurpose Yup I know that most kids under 12 don't really have the skils and talent to train SDs. I just get pissed when people come at me specifically and say my SD is fake because shes owner trained by a kid.
@@sarah-fv9xu i'm so sorry if that's what you thought i was saying! i wasn't implying your sd is fake, just that it is a challenging situation for many other younger people. keep up the good work with your puppers :)
@@thepawswithpurpose Thats not what I thought at all- I've just been in a lot of situations where people have thought my SD is fake cause I'm a kid. Just last night I was removed form a few SD handler group chats because they found out I was the youngest kid there. Turns out they wanted it 13+ only when they hadn't stated that in the GC rules. Thank you! Hope Finnigan is doing well :)
@@sarah-fv9xu oh no!!!! i'm sorry about that!!! and thank you so much :)
Lmao I love your editing
hehehe thank uuuu
Lol I get the toxic one bc I joined a SD fb group and apparently I am not "disabled" enough lol like honey that's not for u to decide. (Blind in left eye aka can't see past my nose so I may and have run into traffic when there's a car bc I didn't see it).
Where can I find a free online professional dog trainer? I just need help with getting my dog to lie down on surfaces other than carpets 😕
you probably won't find an online trainer who will work with just you for free online, but there are some great resources for free right here on youtube! otherwise, i'd schedule a lesson with a professional trainer and work with them one-on-one and compensate them for their time! :)
I’ll be your friend :) I’m a sdit owner trainer
I love your videos 😊
oh my goodness this makes me so happy :)
There are hypoallergenic dogs. Hypoallergenic mean hy·po·al·ler·gen·ic
/ˌhīpōˌalərˈjenik/
Learn to pronounce
adjective
(especially of cosmetics and textiles) relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction. A hypoallergenic dog has hair instead of fur!! Next A.D.A is a law not an entity so the A.D.A. couldn't have a registry! The reason there is no registry is it is a civil law and was never meant to police disabled people.
there is actually no such thing although some dogs may cause fewer allergy symptoms than others, no dog is completely "hypoallergenic". the real source of pet allergies is often a protein that's in the saliva and urine of dogs and cats, not the fur like people often believe. :) also, i understand there is no such thing as a registry for service animals and there probably never will be, i was just saying it would be nice if there was one. just that the idea of one is nice because it could potentially help with access issues and fakes. sorry if you got confused! :)
@Poodle with a Purpose That' literally what hypoallergenic means! Hypoallergenic
Hypoallergenic, meaning "below average" or "slightly" allergenic, means that the substance is believed to cause fewer allergic reactions. The term first was used in a cosmetics campaign in 1953. & I didn't get confused on the registry issue. I have been training Service Dogs for well over a decade and recently started a non profit to breed raise and train service dogs and it is imperative that I know the laws. I've been in the animal field my whole life until I was disabled and then worked with service animals ....so still in the animal field...Yes I am aware people can be allergic to the protein in dogs saliva..but no this is not "most". Most are allergic to the Dander partials trapped in fur. Dogs with hair it is necessary to wash more often like your hair making them hypoallergenic. The saliva takes contact. Dander does not. This is Fact!
@Loulou Bos It's not an argument READ the definition!
@@EmilyEverglot okay. i guess i don't fully understand the point of your comment. because we both seem to understand what hypoallergenic means. i really want my comment section to be a positive place. i don't appreciate comments that are negative or trying to prove something. i understand you are educated and i am too so please respect that. most people that find my channel are young disabled people and i want this to be a supportive and kind environment. thanks!
@@thepawswithpurpose My intention is not to be rude. Agreeing on the term had nothing to do with it the definition is the definition. There is a such a thing as 100%hypoallergenic dog because hypoallergenic doesn't change it's meaning because of a % you put in front of it. It's not like one day a 70% hypoallergenic and another day its 55% hypoallergenic..I'm not sure how giving information that is accurate regardless of age is disrespectful but if that's what you were taught was disrespectful then it might put up some road blocks to learn things.
