i am absolutely in love with this series! A librarian suggested the first to me since i said i liked harry potter, but this series is so much better!! My favorite character in the story is scathach cause i can just picture a beautiful woman with red hair, freckels green eyes and her nunchacku

I'm like a little bit more than halfway through the recording and am amazed. This is my first audiobook and I thought that they were all monotone. I'm glad you proved me wrong. Doing the different accents and voices really do make listening to this that much more worthwhile. Keep doing things like this.

Josh is envious, sly and deceitful, he cannot be trusted. His sister may have to sort him out. He doesn't make friends, easily or keep them. Sophie's is the good twin, Josh is the evil twin. These descriptions are in so many stories through out history. And female power always threatens masculine arrogance. Even today men fear women, as women are life ringers and givers.

Haven't been listening more than a few hours.. But if this is a "modern" book I guess it is destroyed by the same sickness that plagues "modern" cinema.. That is the Woke/SJW sickness.. If this is the case then Josh is only included so he can bitch and be a inferior white male character... I admit that I haven't gotten so far into the book to know if this is the case but you know it is if the female protagonist turns out to be a Mary Sue..

My guess is that Josh will be a very different character at the end of the series, as he complete's the hero's quest. You know I was like why is Josh so exhausted? Then I realized that the twins didn't actually sleep in Hekate's shadow realm so and though Sophie did pass out several times. Josh at least has been awake for about 2 maybe 3 days straight
I bought all six books the other day at barns an nobles The story is grasping that you cant put it down. I only wished that the guy who did the reading for the first book in audio form dis the rest.

True that her powrrs are draining her and it must be difficult to have “fake” memories and basically overload of them. but josh could have had the power too but there wasn’t time. That's not an excuse honestly. He tries to put every blame on Nicholas and every one they come across, he's temperamental, doesn't know when to keep things to himself. He literally has no sense of self preservation. Like you said there was not any time to awaken both. They were in the middle of a battle for haven's sake. He should know that. He cares about his sister I'm sure, but that is only his own self interest. He's very selfish.

These twins behave exactly the same as the ones from the TV show 'The Gifted' - set in the X-Men universe, with a bother and sister the heirs to massive power, and the brother was stupid like Josh and was easily convinced to join 'the dark side'. Obviously this book came out first before the show. Must be a common trope
I enjoyed this story very much. I loved the creatures and characters. The narrator brought the different voices to life. Josh was a bit whiny but maybe the author did that for a reason, maybe to make him the twin who tries to destroy the world?
