I go through some of Bruno Delbonnel's cinematography techniques to help you understand his unique style.
Just to be clear: Bruno Delbonnel changes his style to suit the movies he shoots. The goal of this video and article is to drum up enthusiasm and a yearning to learn more.
Think of it as a tribute, nothing more is intended.

Best photography director of colors!! I love Inside Lewyn Davis
Thanks for a thoughtful introduction to Bruno Delbonnel. So many people don't know how to talk about cinematography beyond "oooooh look! so pretty"
Your videos obviously are an exception to this trend, while also educating viewers on how to appreciate and evaluate cinematography. Excellent work.
Amazing piece. Thank you for posting this incredibly well informed analysis.
You're welcome!
i'm scared that like Cinematography Database your videos might get removed. these are too good

wolfcrow oh man, haha yeah, I mean Bennoi Debbie, I was searching up Irreversible and saw that Gaspar said he had to take cocaine cause his arm was too tired to hold the camera at times. so I thought it was Gaspar himself doing the camera work in his films.

Ripping your Blu-rays or recording some high-quality streaming is not illegal if you're using the material for educational purposes. Grabbing the stuff from CZcams isn't any more legal, and it only hurts what you are trying to teach, because the viewer only sees a highly recompressed, murky, blocky, unsharp video with messed up colors. It's not true to the vision of the cinematographer, nor faithful to the original...
What movie is that at 2:03?
Across The Universe
Cheers.
