While playing three cb's i would recommend to use one dmf with deep line instructions and lmf and rmf with speed and decent defensive stats and ability

Its very risky to play 3 defender to use it u need fast defenders and if your using qc u have to not make mistakes or your gone 😂😂😂

In my opinion, using three in the back is too risky but deep lining a midfielder or the two wide players will help you cooemdefensively

I'm using same Formation and those who are worried about defense splitting just use free beckenbaur as a DMF and then Give him individual instructions of Deepline and here you go

I experimented with three at the back as well and it just allows you to completely dominate your opponent and create chances but the meta and the script comes in clutch for my opponents

used this to get to div 1 on possession last season
wanna play safe
deep line on both lmf and rmf (offensive fullback left and full back finisher right)
or if oppo has wingers man mark them then deep line on dmf

i use 3 cbs and 2 cdms where 2 of my cbs stay back and one of my cdm comes in for defensive support the other cdm along with 2 of my wingers strikers and a cam go allout and attack the formation i use i am currently cooking
