I tried to romance Jack but of course was rebuffed, which given she specifically mentions being bisexual felt like a bit of a tease. Nevertheless once I heard what happens (that you change her, "fix" her)... I'm kinda glad I couldn't. Tali's an interesting character. I didn't like her much because come on, cute little robots! They're adorable! How can you think of them like that? But I like that the game had that range of character variety. It'd be boring if everyone was just likeable in all ways.
Still a bit sore there wasn't a volus romance option. Batarian option would've been nice too. They were a bit shy on giving you freakier choices, weren't they? Garrus being the notable exception.

Honestly I think the one thing the writers got wrong in this universe was forgetting that humans will be attracted to literally anything. I highly doubt that human/turian relationships would be that uncommon (I know if I were to exist in that universe, I wouldn't even be looking at human men anymore; I would happily ditch this world for a turian bf)

Probably one of the saddest love story lines... Garrus was always there... right from the beginning. Can you imagine how he would actually feel... to lose someone who had your back through not one, or two, but three impossible scenarios, saved your life twice and loved you through it all... something tells me Garrus would be a shell after that.... just a turian waiting for death.
The thing is, we see Garrus grow and mature enormously over the series thanks to Shepard, whether you romance him or not. If it makes you feel any better, I don't think Garrus would just pine away to nothing here. He would be able to move on and enjoy life after a period of mourning. As a (by that point) senior turian he'd probably also have other duties in the rebuilding of Palavan that would focus his attention.
I don't fully agree. Not Garrus. Maybe never love again but he'd live doing what he always did. Save someone. Save the Universe. He survived and held his ground on Omega when his team was killed. But, maybe a deep, long depression and mourning.
Lets not forget what has happened in his past. His frustration with C-Sec, Dr Saleon, Sidonis. And those are just three that we know of. He seems to not be lucky in life and Shepard is that one person who treats him like a friend or something more. It's almost like the one person who Garrus genuinenly admires. Someone that doesn't treat him like a sunordinate or a truian but an equal. And the fact he has followed Shepard, even when they were part of a terrorist orgainsation, shows how dedicated to Shepard he is. And the romance isn't based on fetish like he states (because liking humans is seen as a fetish among the aliens) it is borne of genuiene respect and admiration. It just feels so natural.
Nah, remember that conversation about the heaven bar "i'll be looking down, you'll never be alone". Garrus will spend the rest of his life making personally sure the criminals and bureaucrats don't fuck up the world Shepard left them. \m/
Garrus losing Shepard, relationship or partnership, would be a blow for him. After so much battle, war, investigation, criminal bust, and discovery, it would be a horrible universe for him.

Biggest shame there wasn't a Volus squadmate, and also romance option. Imagine the mid-lovemaking dialogue with the breath pauses. That would've been the greatest thing ever. Also I found them kinda sweet, like everyone thinks they're all a joke, and some of them sure are, but others were just beaten down by the situation - as they would be. Like that guy in the hotlabs in the first game who was haunted by locking out his workmates to protect himself from danger. Really wanted to be sweet on one of them. Garrus and Thane are probably the best two full series romance "quest lines" in the game, followed up by Tali. Garrus gets all the feels for the ending in ME3 though, i feel so sorry for him.

Christine Shane I don’t think a femshep and tali romance would really work. Same with a male Shep and garrus. It would just be really awkward. It makes sense with Liara, but definitely not Tali. Femshep and Tali in my eyes are more like sisters. I actually started play Mass Effect 2 and I plan to finish the last mission tonight. The Tali romance is going well :D. She’s so cute.

Honestly I think Bioware could've done so much with the whole Shepard being alive at the end. I know andromeda was a chance for change, but there was so much potential with that cliff hanger ending of mass effect 3. Even if they did a long DLC on Shepard's recovery and all that jazz. I think there could've been more than "oh she/he died...Ha Psych! She/he live! But you'll never know what happens to them."
