Long movie - great performances throughout. Worth the wait for the last stand of the Guarani.

Tengo que ver la película
Mírala es muy interesante y forma parte de nuestro historia. Cada vez q la veo me pongo a llorar xq la injusticia que cuenta está incluso hasta el día de hoy. Tengo la suerte de haber conocido misiones y si vas de forma particular vas a ver en los pueblos a las afueras como las comunidades indígenas viven incluso hoy en día en la miseria y dificultades más grandes.
Es muy mala película, tristemente le deben haber removido como 30 o más minutos en edición. Los personajes no están construidos correctamente, la historia es aburrida... los estudios cinematográficos odian películas de más de 90 minutos, 120 ya es pecado.
Mejor lee acerca del comercio de esclavos en Sudamérica, de la “indenture servitude” que siguió después... de los conflictos en Europa (Bonaparte) y como detonaron pseudo revolucionarios en las americas.

Sadly the movie was not that great, destroyed in editing I guess. Character development was horrible.
But the individual scenes, that’s Roland Joffe and Ennio Morricone at their best

Excuse me? Is that some sort of Neo-racism?
European civilization was more advance, humanism speaking, than it’s Native American and African counterparts... lets say the Scandinavian cannibals of the medieval ages and before were on par with the 1700’s natives. The most advance Native American culture in the Americas was the Aztecs, more than Mayans or anyone in Africa (Zulu), and they dealt with slavery, human sacrifice and worse things.
I am sorry but the culture around Nahuatl doesn’t excuse the atrocities made by these monsters, and the tribes of Norteamérica were worse. Europe was centuries if not millennia more advance, and the first to abolish slavery for good (English)... and yeah the Gringos (Americans) fought and died to abolish it, tell me which other civilization comes close?
