Reach out to Trevor (Motion Auto) and ask him if his towrig giveaway was worth it since his channel is around the same size as yours so you would get a good realistic idea if it's worth doing the giveaway or not.
I feel bad for him because it seemed like his giveaway flopped a bit
well, sandy seems to approve. As for the floor in the trailer, I highly recommend having it and about 6" of the walls rhino lined (or whatever spray bed liner you choose). It'll stop any spilled oil or water from getting into the wood and will outlast the trailer. And for the generator don't cheap out, get a Honda eu3000i, buy quality equipment and you'll get a quality experience.
Scrolled to the comments just to make sure someone had suggested this. We regularly Line-X trailer floors and about a foot up the walls for customers. It's inexpensive, pressure wash it clean, and as said, will outlast the trailer.
I absolutely second this generator recommendation. There is one on Craigslist Orlando for "1800 obo" right now.
Sell your duramax, use the money for the new rig.
Don’t do a giveaway. Just straight out sell it
Hows that a sell out lmao your a dumbass
@@dill5500 what are you saying? Hes talking about just selling his old truck and trailer lol...

Taylor still hasnt made his merch shop a clickable link
the website doesnt even work
Merch is down for a bit. Need to start it back up. The company that was handling it decided to stop doing it. So I have to make my own site, and order products and such.
Do you have any old stock?

Swap the duramax wheels onto the ram
I think it’s a different lug pattern
Alex Paz nope same 8x6.5 pattern
3G stocks won't clear on the duramax. Been there done that lol
@@spencerfloyd1194 pretty sure he still has the stock wheels
Agreed
private sale over giveaway for sure. quicker, less hassle, better ROI.
Who else was expecting sandy to give her opinion on this .....
K5 savage she walked into the trailer lol
I hope he didn’t accidentally lock her on there
Taylor is living the best life.. congrats!
MotionAutoTV did a "take it to the track" pack giveaway and he didn't get that good of a turnout so if you do give it away, keep this in mind.
Yea if you're reading this Taylor I wouldn't recommend doing a giveaway with the truck, trailer, and track car
I'm sure he made well over what the Truck, Car and trailer where worth. It's a Surefire way to get the value out of the vehicle and Taylor has enough of a following that he'd do pretty good on it
I say see if ben wants to upgrade his setup
I think orion’s did well but ya idk if Trevor even broke even? I can’t remember where I read about it though
@@ItsJoshN I remember him talking about his disappointment with the turnout in one of his vids.
Huge congrats on the trailer and truck it is awesome. You should take a close look at the dark spots in the trailer floor, that looks about like where the tires land, and use that to decide if it is a repaint of the floor, or a replace, if that is soft it needs to go. With the lights, the LED U that you had in the old garage would work, but it may be to much in the confined space. You may consider a Rhino liner, or a rubberized undercoat to coat the floor giving you protection from moisture, but also giving you a little more give then diamond plate, or something like that would offer.
Hey Taylor. Congrats on the trailer! Take a look at ClimateRight air conditioners. They are heat/ac units designed for RV's that are ducted and have a remote control. You can put a rear window insert in the pickup and run flexible ducting to it if you're sleeping there, then run your generator and the AC unit. You can leave it in your pickup bed and just run electrical from the generator and duct it whichever way you want allowing you to use just the pickup or just the trailer with it at any time without leaving it out unsecured and in the elements all the time. They have sizes that are more than enough for the trailer, so your truck can get super comfy. I had a "little guy" teardrop camper that used the small size of these and I loved it.
Id love to see you work on this dodge! Repair and cool mods
The Idea that you can afford this lifestyle making CZcams videos blows my mind
Awsome Taylor. Full time is PAYING OFF !!!! Setting up the trailer like a shop is great. What you use out of the shop is still there. Park out side the shop and its still there. VERY HAPPY FOR YOU ! The next step to whats next !!!! Your way of accomplishing your goals is working !!! NEVER , EVER stop working toward what YOU want ! It works every time. LOVE THE CONTENT. Don't stop.
Keep the duramax and put a gooseneck reciver in the bed, Cummins definitely over rule all other diesels. But the truck is just so well kept.
350z + Miata = 27ft according to google
You're not the only person to do this google search, I did them too and he could still keep the side cabinets if he made them narrower so the miata could squeeze past them.
And he can add tires racks on the side of the trailer for space purposes
@@masterall56 plus all the storage space in the raised bit.
Tire machine?????

I'm so happy for you man. Glad to see all of your hard work paying off.
Fantastic news Taylor. Great achievement and another step in progress. BUT, come on please untwist the seat belts in the passenger seat in the MX5 (Miata). It's bugging the hell out of me lol. Well done man.
whichever option, giveaway or selling, is better for you financially, do it. We get More awesome content quicker. :) love the vids btw
The only thing I suggest is going out and looking at new trailers and used trailers to get ideas. Smartest thing I’ve ever done because I found things I would have never thought of.
Proud of you Taylor, glad to see you so stoked. Looking forward to Cummins content!
When the z is fixed try move the diamond steel cabinets and fit them both in there
Yeah I was thinking to too ( or make the cabinets narrower so the miata could get past them) since by google dimensions of the cars they should in theory be able to fit together in 28ft of floor space with about 1 ft to spare
measuring tape...
mhfuXmonsta it would be possible. The Miata is a really small car, and the z isn’t terribly large itself
but then he looses space for wheels and tires, because he would need sets for both and parts for both.
@@redlinesteez9630 he has the bed he can fit 8 tires in there while another 8 in the miata and 350z. And parts in the truck cab and trailer
Taylor Face Logo that trailer with CZcams Logo/Handle! Write it off as advertising 😊
E Ryan Carr The only issue with that is that EVERYONE will know whose trailer it is. It’s far better for a CZcams personality to fly under the radar
@@IFIXATVS that would be true if he had a way bigger following, could put the logos on till hes LZ big.
Super excited for you man! You deserve it! Keen for trailer and truck Reno!!
So happy for you Taylor, can't wait for the future of the trailer and all the cars
I would love to have the truck
Or the truck and trailer.
But I really think u should keep the Chevy N trailer. Atleast for while see how well u love that huge trailer even for small trips and everything
wickedeagans he doesn’t have a Chevy
So much room for activities!!! Could you fit two cars if you moved the cabinets off the floor?
When I was doing dirt track, our first enclosed was life changing. With the ability to carry all the parts and tools needed it made it do much easier to go to the big races out of town. Ended up doing solar panels with batteries in the neck to power the lights and generator for all the tools and AC. Simply put, you will question why you didn't do it sooner.
Looks awesome. I get where you are coming from. When I brought our current house with a double garage it was exciting. You deserve success, never get bored of your content.
Great timing with FDLB break time
i wonder if the z and the Mazda can fit together in the trailer
Its always good to have a backup trailer so if you can afford to keep the open trailerdo that and sell the duramax.
So stoked for you. Must be an awesome feeling 🤘🏻 can’t wait to see more trailer and truck content!
That’s my dream truck damnit
Keep the Duramax it's nice af just do a turbo upgrade for better towing?
Those garage lights are Barrina T5 lights. I’ve had them in my 2 car garage since TR mentioned them and they do kick ass. I love the light in my workspace
Man I watch your Channel since 35k Subs and you have come quite a long way. From driving to events in the Car and Rebuilding the Miata in your Driveway to having a open Rig and now look at my Garage with Car-Lifts and my Close-Rig. Great progress.
Once he sells it He’s gonna wish he never did. Then the dodge is gonna start having problems
I would love that truck and trailer combo GM or nothing
This is so fire man. 11/10. Can't wait for trailer videos
We painted our 32’ race enclosed trailer floor with truck bed liner and it has held up for 4 years with no issues. Do 2 coats at a minimum!

Hyped to see you refresh the trailer
I'm so excited for you and your new addition to your program, the space and peace of mind at events seem like it would be worth it alone. I think a giveaway would be a great, public way to pay it forward to a fan.
Winning a truck, trailer and drift car for the price of a t-shirt??? Why would I want that....
5 minutes into this and I'm telling you, sell both trucks and the open trailer and get a new truck. U wanna drive all over the country and drift this summer, ull appreciate the peace of mind of doing it in a new truck
Not a bad idea, I think he said he paid about 7500 for his Duramax, the open trailer was about 1500 but no idea on the Dodge but it would be either a decent down payment on a new truck or enough to buy a newer truck.
D_ Baggington that’s some pretty good advice. He could even trade them in if time is a factor.
Congrats on the upgrade I'm excited about the tow rig build. I brought my tools to the track this weekend in bags inside bags and it sucks. I'd like to get another box with tools to take to the track, but I've got figure out how to make it fit on a fordable 4'x8' HF trailer lol.
Ordered those lights from amazon a couple days ago after seeing your review. Looking forward to them!
You should put a winch in that trailer cause you know you are going to break something someday and you are going to have to push it into it
Keep the duramax it’s a really good truck
Glad you came up on this. 5th wheel is so much easier to maneuver. Used to pull a 48' behind a Duramax crew short bed. Found out the hard way that our custom built trailer didn't clear the cab corners though!
I super excited for you. You should put a wicked sound system in it. Projector on the wall for reviewing footage in 1080p. The options are endless and please do a series on this or something like it. I'm into it. Huge purchase!!
6 IN A ROW READY TO TOW!!
Sorry I had to do it
Sell both trucks and open trailer to get a newer truck
jay west lmao why. How would that fix anything.
@@josephsamsor1698 while I don't agree with the idea the way it would help is by giving Taylor more money to spend on a newer truck. Potentially more reliable, potentially more powerful, potentially better fuel economy. Only potentially though.
itachii267 newer trucks aren’t necessarily more reliable or fuel efficient. With any diesel he has more power than he’ll ever need towing what he does anyway. The important thing is having a good trailer. Selling the enclosed trailer would just mean he has to find another trailer since the open one is too small and doesn’t fit his needs.
@@josephsamsor1698 I did say potentially multiple times emphasizing that it's not a guarantee and I also said I don't agree with selling all three my friend.
That’s the most reliable diesel truck he could have bought. Last full year of the 5.9 Cummins and a mega cab. That’s a 500+ thousand mile engine. The newer stuff will never last as long as a truck like that. That’s why the resale value on those trucks is sky high.
Very happy for you Taylor You've worked hard to get to where your at and you deserve it. I'd suggest taking the money from selling the old tow setup and making sure the front end of the cummins is good and the fuel systems is in good health. You'll only get about 60k miles out of stock Dodge front end components in that generation, but other than that like you said all the big stuff's been done. Glad to see you back in a cummins, nothing wrong with a the duramax just less power, but never buy a ford diesel (power choke) junk.
Super proud of you for getting a dodge I can’t wait to see you build it up! Super excited for all the new videos with the new rig
Keep the duramax, sell the dodge, us the money to mod the duramax
Hi Taylor. I think u should fix up the dodge a little and sell that and keep the realiable duramax as your tow rig.
Not gonna lie i was stoked at the thumb nail, even before watching, glad you advancing so much with the channel, keen to see the content this purchase brings, both mods/repairs and the following trips.

I'm sure you'll love the dodge for towing, don't listen to the dodge haters. They're damn good at towing
They're good at towing but it'll fall apart, they have a lot of suspension and interior problems. Plus even if you don't take the brand and reputation in consideration you have to admit that Dodge looks to be in pretty rough shape (he even admitted it). His duramax is in mint condition and he had it for long enough to know how reliable it is.
Btw, I'm not a dodge hater, I don't have a preference in any trucks, never been interested into trucks, to me they're just work tools.
They will tow but everything else goes to shit and you have to constantly replace crap like window switches and minor shot that just gets old.
The best of both worlds: Cummins swap the Chevy and have a badass tow rig. Dodge’s build quality is SHIT... even their regular cars suck tbh. My moms old minivan when I was a kid was a pile and a half as well as my old truck
bought my ram new in 1995 and have drove it daily all these years, I've replaced 1 window switch years ago and the fuel pump about a month ago, threw the new pump in myself and paid $100 for it. other than that I've just changed oil and put gas in it. thing still runs and drives like it did in 95. maybe I just take good care of my vehicles? dunno.
I hear ya. I have a 98 myself long bed. V10 magnum and I've only ever replaced u joints and a fuel pump
Congrats on the new setup! When you begin to travel I would use the trucker path app to locate truck stops to refuel as it’s much easier to maneuver in the diesel semi truck lanes. Don’t worry we see pickups in line with us all the time. If your going to sleep in the truck try major truck stops like pilot, loves or a TA. They will typically be well illuminated and have security. Also look up pickup sleeper berth conversion kits. You may find some useful tips or kits that will benefit you.
Next rig will be a semi with multiple drift car trailer lol! Don’t worry I’ll drive for you a few times...
Get a RV A/C on there and whatever size air mattress you want! Small 2 door a/c fridge/freezer is only $100. A sheet/blanket/shower curtain to block off the back part will make a huge difference in trying to keep a space cool. Not sure of the cost, but being able to hook up to shore power is so much better than generator. I’ve done about 40 days of “dry” camping with the old motorhome over the last 5 yrs. Jealous of an enclosed trailer! 55’ and gas, I know the issues of dealing with re-fueling!
Everyone I know who has a Dodge truck has had issues with death wobble. They have a very poor steering box and tear up ball joints quite often
I have an 06 dodge 4x4 and I will say that I've had those problems...after 250,000 miles. It sounds like he got a good enough deal to do some front end work if he needs to. I put a Borg Warner steering box in mine along with new ball joints and a steering stabilizer and it drives like a dream. Like I said it took 250k to for these problems to ever even come up.
@@huntermorrison5096 I'm guessing you didn't buy your truck new so you're not a 100% sure if somebody did repairs to the truck previous to you buying it. It's a well known and documented problem with these Dodge trucks. I've even heard of them having problems straight from the factory.
@@thenewnormal8853 No I bought the truck new in 2006. I understand that it is somewhat of a rarity for a truck to last 250k before needing a front end overhaul but I have never heard of one of these trucks needing it straight out of the factory and I have a few friends with these trucks and they all rebuilt their front ends at around 180k. I'm not saying that there aren't a few trucks out there that needed the service a lot sooner but it also depends on if the truck was lifted or has oversize tires on it. Me and my friends kept our trucks relatively stock since we all towed heavy gooseneck trailers.
@@thenewnormal8853 I did read about the front end issues on these trucks when I was going through them with mine and I will agree that it is one of the bigger issues with these trucks. From personal experience though I've found that as long as you put in some money and get it fixed right without cutting corners the problems generally go away.

keep the duramax and the closed trailer, sell the dodge and open trailer
Why sell the duramax if you trust it and keep the ram if you don’t. Just keep the duramax and don’t add another project to your life
The Duramax wouldn't be able to pull that trailer. Since it's a 1/4 ton even with a Duramax it's not going to pull very well. The ram is I'm pretty sure is half ton which is the minimum of what you want to pull that trailer. With that in mind it wouldn't make sense to keep the Duramax
Cody Wright Both are 3/4 ton trucks. I don’t mean to be rude but you obviously don’t know what you are talking about. 1/4 ton truck? A duramax isn’t offered even in a half ton. Unless people consider rangers/s10 and the like a 1/4 ton truck I’ve never even heard the saying to be honest. And back to the point both should tow the trailer pretty well, it really comes down to which has more power and what he prefers. I’ve pulled a 38ft gooseneck with an 04 2500HD Duramax and it did the job just fine with what I’m guessing is a heavier load all around so I’m thinking both trucks will get the job done just fine.
@@Jeremy-eu9bx wow ya you're right. When I wrote then I was just coming off a double shift and was pretty sleep deprived so my math was way off. As a truck owner I'm ashamed to have wrote that
