I read an article about the record review,and the photo shot is at Monahans State Park in the Permian Basin.Billy was asked where he gets the gritty tone, and he stated that in earlier years when they would go to Mexico to unwind,the pesos he had. He would have the pesos ground down in the shape of guitar picks.

Love all comments. I talked to Frank around 1987 and learned what this song was about. Best part of story was how these lyrics came out of the hiatus in mid 70's. Strange places, strange things and MF'ing bad ass yarn spinning lyrics, something BG is famous for and blesses us all with. Music is story telling and when its good, it talks about us all. Am watching Billy on " speakeasy " Eric Holland host asked about the lyrics of " Ten Foot Pole " Billy answered by saying they (ZZ TOP) were in the Hymalians and they found " Big Foot " . They stayed with "Big" and he taught them the big foot talk .

Way BACK, if you could have seen the crew.. The old EchoPLEX, tape drive = today we call it a digital delay.. Fuzz, reverb, tremelo, = pre- recorded guitar and bass track's..
