Summary: Arriving at the air field, Aaron finally admits to Jackson that he has planned a skydive and Jackson is thrilled. Questioning if he'll be doing it with him, Aaron hides his anxiety and assures him that he'll be with him all the way. As the instructors explain everything to the boys, Jackson becomes aware that Aaron is petrified and Hazel is relieved to hear him say he can't put him through it anymore. However, Hazel's relief is short-lived when Jackson claims he's still up for it. Up in the plane, Jackson is suddenly struck with nerves but when the instructor tells him they can go back down, he refuses. On the ground, Hazel and Aaron watch on as the parachute opens and Jackson is clearly loving it. Aaron and Hazel are made up to hear how much Jackson enjoyed himself and the banter starts as he takes every opportunity to remind Aaron that he chickened out.
I'm sorry one more post because I can't help myself. Marc/Jackson actually sky diving has to be one of the most happy and touching scenes ever filmed for a soap. Especially compared to here in the US. Such true emotions delivered. Marc's true life reaction coming down. Jackson shouting out Aaron I love you. .. drama doesn't get any better.
For the first time. I was so glad to see Jackson happy for once. He really enjoyed it, Aaron is the best. He really needed this.
i cried. a lot. very moving when jackson is screaming in delight when he lands. best moment for him since the accident.
For those who question it Aaron truly truly does love Jackson. Yes it's his first love and all but Jackson will always be the love of his life. The airport scene was brilliantly done by cast and crew, especially Marc. It was that much more magical knowing it was all actually done and that the landing was not really scripted or directed. Three brilliant actors making magic yet again.
To see Jax so happy and excited while skydiving is the best scene ever. It brought tears to my eyes. Its been a while to see him laughing and smiling. Aaron so tough chickened out. The look on his face when Jackson asked him if he was going up too.

Yeah Danny said in a interview a few months ago that he's scaird of everything when he was on I'm a celebrity he was sick in the helicopter and he wouldn't of be able to do that he has anxiety and can't do stuff like that

That was real sweet of Aaron. You can tell he's racking his brain trying to come up with ways to make Jackson happy. He obviously cares. And of course - so much going on in Jackson's head ... I can't even imagine.
Amazing i loved loved this episode.Jackson was so happy i cried for happiness for him.It's been such a long i haven't seen him this happy.Aaron smiling looking happy made me smile.Jackson telling Aaron he loved him was so cute.The ending Jackson is back being sad and depressed.

All this effort to cheer Jackson up must have blown the Emmerdale budget. I think the next 6 or 7 episodes are gonna be all in one room lol
Great ep! It was clear they were genuinely on edge with Marc's jump! I also have 2 give the writers a thumbs up 4 writing the idea of the jump into the story...well done! On the other hand, I am truly disappointed with the NO AFFECTION policy. I see how DM says A is not an affectionate person, but in my book, that would mean A would display LESS affection than others & not NONE AT ALL! Even the most apathetic people feel the need 2 display emotions in very important (even stressful) situations.

I don't see this as a lack of affection - this is just Aaron. Look how he is with Paddy. Aaron love's Paddy so much, but he doesn't go around hugging him or whatever. A punch in the arm every now and again is usually the only contact he has with him. Even with Chas - remember when she was in the bunny suit and hugging him (classic!) he barely wanted to touch her - and that was when they were on good terms.
Aaron's not a touchy guy. Given how he grew up, it's not surprising.
I can't believe Aaron chickened out! I think Marc was genuine excited about that jump, I was actually laughing along with him.
@Beckeexox Thats so true, the way Aaron has grown and matured is really great, and Jackson was a major contributor to that change. He will be missed, this was an amazing episode, its been so long since Jackson has had a good day.
I love Marc's performance in this show, as much as I love Aaron, but he is just way better. Having seen the behind the scenes video, I am even more touched knowing that Marc actually really cried after the landing. Hope Jackson will stay on the show for a long time ahead!

I agree that there is a serious lack of affection. I know Danny apparently said that Aaron isn't a very affectionate person so that's why they don't show anything intimate, but come on! Jackson's mostly paralyzed so it's not like he's going to be initiating anything. Their relationship looks like nothing more than a close friendship. They don't necessarily have to show a bunch of kissing, hugging, or touching (though that would be great) all the time. A simple loving look would be enough.
Nice to see Aaron and Jackson in bed together again. One of those rare scenes.
Putting Jackson down this one way depressing path was the worst mistake Emmerdale has done for a long time. All for short term ratings, forgetting that people like myself won't put up with it forever. Love a bit of drama, but not groundhog down of this.
I bet that little bit at 8:09 was improv that wasn't cut out. Love how Danny mimics people!
The lack of intimacy doesn't really bother me and it suits Aaron's persona. It makes those times when he shows actual affection more endearing. If Aaron was the tetraplegic then I'm almost certain Jackson would be showering him with affection constantly. Last year it was a gay storyline, this year it's a story about pain and guilt and eventual loss. Despite the upcoming storyline, I am looking forward to Danny's performance, he's proven mighty capable so far.
The most honest and natural respesentation of a gay relationship in a soap has to be Christian and Oliver in Verbotene Liebe. They're not afraid to show a kiss on the lips between a gay couple in a relationship to say "good morning", or see you later without feeling the need to have to draw attention to it of create an "issue" out of it. It's a refreshing breath of fresh air something which the UK soaps could learn from. See ichglotzutube and MercuryMay01 channels - they are subtitled.

I've pointed this out many times before, I'll say it one last time: The lack of affection between A and J is a conscious choice made by Danny Miller. He does not view his character as an affectionate person, hence little/no kissing etc. He made these statements in an interview before Christmas.
Now there was the perfect opportunity for a kiss- Jackson was so happy after the jump WHY NO KISS??

@patroclus33 It seems odd to me that we've never seen Aaron simply caress Jackson's face - a simple gesture that could convey so much.
@spankwalla I agree I've been following it the past few weeks trying to catch up and yes...they certainly have the intimate/loving connection.

@spankwalla -- Another couple that gets the same treatment than Chrolli is Deniz & Roman also from Germany,(Alles Was Zahlt) although I think they get hotter love scenes than Chrolli, anyone who has seen the shower love scene knows what i'm talking about ;). Though they tend to be angstier and darker than Christian and Oliver. Anyway eskimokissproject and deroholicanonymous have their story subtitled if anyone wants to watch it.
well there is not much "gay" storyline over this, but I have really enjoyed the last episodes and this one was so cute and funny :), but why did Jackson have to look sad again
i wish every one would give danny millers character a break!! just coz theyre not snogging or hugging 247 dnt mean he dont care!!! u dnt need obvious affection to see that he loves him!! if he was straight no one would bat an eyelid at his lack of pda but what coz hes gay hes got to be constantly smothering him?? give him a break the topic of aarons physical affection isnt the point of the storyline think of everything hes done for him its actions that prove the most!!!!!!
The fishing and the skydiving were wonderful, unfortunately, it brought Jackson face to face with all the things he could not do with his body. As active as he was, being a builder, it just was not him to be confined to a chair. It was a huge mistake to kill off Jackson. Aaron would become a man without him, and we all know how that turn out. I Just couldn't watch it anymore without Jackson.
well we have to face it now, this month will be the last taping month for "Jackson" opposite Marc Silcock... according to wikipedia...

@marcojacksonlvr Hey I think I agree. I am not to sure of the producer/director who dies while trying to make this storyline amazing, but it seems like it's fallen flat. Granted I still love seeing them together but something is certainly flat about it. I hope one day the ED writers adapt to allowing Aaron being more intimate with a bloke.

I have a feeling this will end badly. I know Jackson will have to go eventually. I just hope Aaron stays. I reckon, give him a few months, year, then introduce a new character who turns out to be gay. Maybe someone a bit younger, still at school or college or something. It's got to all happen again.
While everyone debates about the realism of the story, how it's being treated - STILL is wrong on a basic level. There is NO AFFECTION. Whatever their "soap-problems" they are STILL GAY. Jackson was so happy. He even said, I love you - and NO hug, NO kiss. Later that evening Aaron is drawn up on one side of the bed. Screw the injury. Aaron? Did the accident change the way you feel towards him? Because in all truth, you look like you are doing this out of guilt.
@justmoijah Sorry mate, I totally disagree with you saying they should later on introduce another Gay character for Aaron's love interest,what's the point, we all know it would be a complete waste of time,who wants to see Danny Miller in a gay relationship that looks like two mates?Let's face it there would still be no affection and all that will happen is we would get attached to the new character only to have ED get rid of him. ED doesn't have the bollocks to show an authentic gay relationship
the character aaron doesn't kiss jackson more often because the actor danny miller doesn't like kissing men, and the writers apparently gives into his demands ... u will never see anything even remotely close to chrolli or ludwin here.
If he don’t like kissing men then how come he’s kissing Robert now more than he did Jackson. He don’t mind he’s an actor he does what he need to to be an actor.
