I passed my last test on October 11th, which was English. The social studies wasn't hard, you just have to be a fast reader. I retook science and social studies, and passed on the second try. Math and English, I passed on the first try. None of the test are hard, you just really have to study hard and apply yourself. While you're taking each test, just think about how it's going to impact your life afterwards. When I received my diploma in the mail, I cried so hard because it feels great to finally be a high school graduate.

I'm just a year off from graduation. I was supposed to graduate in 2015, but I had personal family problems, so I had to put my schooling off for a while. But you guys, as hard as it may seem, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP!!!!
I passed with a 172! College ready!!!!
This test for me was very intimidating. So, the first part of the exam were what I perceived to be college level reading questions. In those questions, you had to read a text in order to answer. These questions may be the hardest, they are more on vocabulary and understanding complex questions. For those questions, you need to read carefully and understand what certain words mean.
The next part was the essay prompt. Personally, I have always hated essays and portraying myself through writing. However, the article I got was simple for me to write about. I got two arguments based on open campus lunch hours at school. I had to write who I thought had more evidence to back up their argument. Following this essay formula!
1. Introduction: say what the problem is, and who you believe has better evidence, and give three simple reasons why.
2. Body: from your introduction, use one reason and explain why you think that point is valid, and use quotes from the text
3. Body: same as step two, but using another reason
4. Body: same as step two, using the last reason you listed in your introduction
5. Conclusion: write about those reason and how they are better and have a great closing sentence... like- "after analyzing the passages, it seems that _______ is a better argument."
After the essay, comes the longest part. Allllllll readdddddingggg, you have about 3 or 4 passages that are a couple pages long, and you have an hour to finish. This part is tedious. My eyes got tired, but worked through it fast because I just wanted to finish!!!! I finished with 30 min still in the clock.
After thirty minutes, I got my results. I am only missing one more exam and I'm done! Good luck everyone!!! I hope this helps you. Study by reading texts, practice makes perfect, and the ged ready tests helped me prepare!

I passed the RLA exam today with college ready scores! The most helpful tip I can give is learn how to manage your time, because there's going to be A LOT of reading. As you may already know, the RLA exam has 3 sections in total. The first one will be short, it'll include 20-25 questions, and you'll have roughly half an hour to finish. Next comes the writing portion and I advice you to practice on that as well. Make use of Google and go through the GED's very own argumentative essay samples. It's all online and free. Then open up a word document and start typing; work on sentence structure and incorporate evidence to support your claims. The final section in the exam is an hour long and surprise: IT INCLUDES A LOT OF READING! I'm not saying this to scare you, because trust me, the questions and multiple choice answers are easy. You just have to learn how to manage time and spot the answers. Majority of the questions will include making inferences so pay close attention when you read.
I had less than 2 weeks to prepare and I studied online by using every free practice test that was available. Don't stress yourself out because you CAN and you WILL pass.

I passed with a 153, i was in california, so the only thing you need to worry about is How to write an essay based on 2 arguments in 45 minutes, but i will say alot of things in this video is not on the test but its good knowledge to have! make sure you can write a 5 paragraph essay and WORK ON your THESIS STATEMENT AND CONCLUSION, and you will be golden baby (:

I got an 147 on my ged language arts test. I'm a officially a GED graduate and thanks to u I did it.
I just took the Language Arts part of the GED test today & scored a 166 which college ready!!
I wasn’t expecting to do as well as I did since I dropped out of high school in the 9th grade. I am now 19 years old and ready for new doors in my life to open! Believe in yourself and you can do it!!!

I passed a few days ago with a 169 college ready score. It's a difficult test but I recommend also taking as many practice tests as you can to help familiarize yourself with the types of passages and questions you'll get.

Yarithza Pedrego Congratulations. Im glad to here that. I have to study more an focus on this because it is not easy for a non-native English speaker take the test, but it's not imposible. Now I got the videos and extra tools that can help my skills. :)
I wrote the test last week thursday and I got 81%. Just keep watching videos, do practice tests and where you think you are weak, practise and work on that area. The extended response is like the ones in the practise test, you get two arguments and you have create an argument based on the evidence. Overall just relax and keep studying.

Well let me say that English isn't my native language, so if you are a native speaker then you are half the way off..
That being aside my test today was all about reading comprehension..
Only two passages were about grammer and the rest were all reading..
For the essay part I suggest you watch some CZcams videos on the matter and from the GED website download the extended response scoring guide and read through them to know how to construct your argumentative essay..

Well it was like expected two passages arguing about an issue each with his side and pieces of evidence..
You have to choose one side and support your choice with the pieces of evidence that are presented in the passage..
For my specific exam I got two passages arguing about whether or not should the government support and subsidize a new eco friendly start-up energy company..
I got a writer in support of that and the other at the opposite side saying that they need to be independent..

+susan dsouza the english portion had alot of questions like which is true about the statement above or like putting the right sentence in order from the story. try reading the passage as you go to every question. after that it was a essay on "If jobs should add dress down days on fridays or similar events. the social studies was really basic with a essay at the end about board of education vs brown. most of the questions are pretty much in the graph they give you.

I took all the reading comprehension exams in one day, English + writing, social studies, and reading. I am very good in those subjects but by the time I got to the reading exam, I was drained and wanted to get out immediately. I rushed and scored a 11 out of 20 on the reading exam, lol.
Passed it with a 162!! Now, I only have math left to do. I can do it!!!

In the preposition lesson wouldn't "the tree" be the object of the preposition and not just "tree" because it is talking about a specific tree? Like when you say "in that tree" or "in Mr. Johnson's tree", the object of the preposition would be "that tree" or"Mr. Johnson's tree" because it is talking about a specific tree and not just any tree right? The same for "around the corner". If not what would the word "the" be considered in that sentence?

fraol endale My topic was "Free Speech and the internet". Pretty much should the internet be censored or not. I ran out of time though and bombed it pretty bad. Time management was the hardest part for me.

Taking this test today. I'm a slow reader so I'm a little nervous. Took the practice test and was told I'm likely to pass. But the paragraphs on the practice test were quite long.. And the articles were pretty boring😴. Hope I pass🤞

today I took my practice test and barely passed it with a 147 I'm gonna study super hard these next couple weeks and go knock this test out because of all the reading and wrighting and then go ahead and take the others

I watched this video up to like 38 minutes and stopped. I took the ged 3 days later and passed with a 170 college ready. I didn’t study though but it’s not that hard, just a lot of reading and use your time wisely towards the end. But honestly study. You’ll get a better score if you do. :)

+Chac Franco I made a 142. almost pass but it shows good luck I'm going for my second try.I wasn't now polynomial or qradratic equations but you have some other equations. you're dealing with Area and Volume on geometry, so practice dealing with word problems which is the main point of ,ath right now

Studied in 1 day and past with 168 on the first try. I figured most of it would be just reading comprehension and the essay and I was right. There are some questions on punctuation so know the differences between they, their, there etc. Study commas and semi colons too. Study a bunch on how to write a 5 page essay. (Thesis/intro, 3 paragraphs and conclusion). This video helped a lot with that. After 10 years of procrastinating I decided enough was enough and just went for it.

I'm taking the GED language arts test tomorrow... from what i've learned from this video, the GED test seems to be a lot like the SAT logic test? it tests skills more than knowledge and doesn't require memorizing facts like 'who wrote Pride and Prejudice?' etc.

frikken amazing! i got near full marks for all my subjects! it's really not that difficult, nothing at all like the SATs. they give u ample time to read all the questions through and think about everything.
