In my country there's an enormous habit of line drying clothes.... Airdrying helps them to do ironing later on since it prevents wrinkles and scratches it easily... And the backyard gets a very good smell after you hang them out. I love doing it. I only use my drying cycle in the winter... But it spends a high amount of electricity here....
My clothes dryer broke had over 20 years went online looking for new dryer, and all those high prices, I said Nope, Now I'm line drying outside, it's free and clothes smell great....

I tried line drying, loved the smell. Unfortunately, I developed Increased nasal drainage, skin itching, watery eyes, postnasal drip, and cough. Turns out I am allergic to every kind of grass grown in my area, as well as alder, elder, and birch trees, which are common where I live. Nope, line drying is "toxic" for me.
I just bought a rotary dryer from amazon, We have so much sun here its almost a waste to use the dryer out here. I got one that is able to be folded down or hidden since my HOA does not allow us to dry our clothes outside even though this will be in my backyard and i have no neighbors behind me..
lol yeah, I live in an apartment with a laundry room, I don't want to spend money on using the dryers so I hang my clothes from a clothesline on my balcony. Shii I live in Belgium and don't have a dryer wtf
In NZ / Australia it’s standard . A clothes drier is only used when the weather is really not good
It makes your clothes smell better
@rnbsoul8 lol
As a matter of fact you supposed to hang pants by the ankles Because water drips and the waistband takes forever to dry

I hang mine by ankles and it dries faster, I did one by waist line and hang pants upsidedown, dry faster for me by the ankles.
I even hang my clothes inside my house. Dries within a day.
that will create mold

Here in Australia most people will hang out their clothes to dry. Dries quicker and saves money.
Exactly that's why we Aussie invented the Hill's Hoist clothesline.

It's not illegal, just not allowed by certain housing authorities or apartment complexes or city ordinances.
It’s not illegal by federal/state law. But housing complexes make their own rules too. Contact your HOA for more information
