Every time I listen to our Vika, I'm reminded that, had she remained a performer of classics, she'd be internationally famous. Every concert hall from New York to San Francisco to Paris to Prague to Moscow to Rome would welcome her with open arms. Standing ovations would be long and unceasing.
The loss to that other world is our gain.

Some people shine bright in this world , and you're one of them .
As I sat there watching and listening, I could hear the voices of Queen coming thru the music. No easy task, using the piano, a hard mechanical form, to evoke the soft subtitles of voice. It's as if you're singing thru your fingers, fantastic and mesmerizing.
In the past I've used your video of Bats for Lashes, Laura (with cat), as an introduction to you and your art, but now you have set a new benchmark, and given the penultimate example to show those who are unfamiliar with you, and encourage them to listen and hopefully support you. Thank you Vika.

georgyorgy2 Agreed. She went a little too crazy, alternating very slow with very high tempo, pianissimo with fortissimo. A little extreme, but interesting, sure.
georgyorgy2 she does a studio version that's more to the original, she embellishes on this one, it is a live performance after all... and it's fantastic.
what on earth are you talking about?!? listen to Brian May's guitar run and you'll know why she had to go so fast, it's a guitar solo on the piano -- for God's sake, don't you realize that nobody else can do what she is doing
Travis Jones Yes, I am aware that she is the only person on the entire planet who knows how to play this song (-.-). I hope you know she has another video where she plays this at home. I would say that's the best I've ever heard anyone play the song (just saying...). This wasn't as great, but it was still very good. Plus, I'm sure the variation was done on purpose, so it wasn't really criticism on her execution. It was more on the arrangement.
