I think you got confused 😁 because there is 2 bus stands in Kannur. The bus stand in the video is the main private bus stand. All private buses will start from here, and many ksrtc local intercity services like to kasaragod, kozhikode, thrissur etc. In kerala we have color code for private buses. Red color are the long distance limited stop buses and blue are the local ordinary buses. There is another ksrtc bus stand, which is small, from where ksrtc long intercity services to bangalore, mysore, otty, tamilnadu, kochi, trivandrum etc operates. Karnataka rtc also operate from the same ksrtc bus stand. Most of the night service of ksrtc also operates from here.
If I am not wrong, red/pink are intercity route (long routes with limited stops) buses, blue ones are intertown buses (like the civil buses in KA and TN) and green ones which are intracity buses (within city).
The blue pink buses are private bus and they have RTO permits. And in kerala the private route busses are to follow mandatory livery that is why all busses are blue pink or red colors. And recently all tourist busses on KL registration must keep mandatory white livery. Kerala MVD is now strictly imposing these stupid regulations.
