  • This is a Script Refactoring video focusing on Stamps and Deep Combine Workflow. It’s based on Shahid Gire's wonderful composite and nuke script from his "Intro to Deep Compositing" video over at VFX SHOWDOWN:
    Intro to Deep Compositing - Full CG Deep Workflow in Nuke Using Deep Holdout
    • Intro to Deep Composit...
    I reached out to Shahid to collaborate on a video I hoped to make about Stamps and Deep Workflow but never had any good renders. Shahid graciously let me use his nuke script and render assets as a starting point for my video.
    I cannot say thank you enough to him, go check out his channel:
    @VFXSHOWDOWN
    I will provide downloadable nuke scripts of the different "Levels of Stamps" script checkpoints on my blog www.CompositingMentor.com. But if you want to download the render assets to the video, please subscribe to his patreon page and get access to the downloads. Trust me, it's worth it, these types of Deep renders are hard to come by!

    Shahid also offers FREE Deep Files for another shot he did on his channel, download those here:

    Thanks, Tony, for taking the time to elaborately explain how to use the Stamps workflow. Cheers!

    Haven't seen your content yet but you know it's pure gem of a video when two pros like Tony and Shahid collab for a video, subbed and hit that like button.

    I am not a beginner per say but I did find the video very helpful with good tips for beginners and intermediate artists as well, definitely gonna recommend yours and Shahid's channel to other fellow artists.😃

    Great recap for someone like me who worked at Trixter as well. Shift X is also a good trick to swap the switch input. Thanks much for another awesome tut :)

    Nice, checked out the script, stamps really are useful to clean up your script which means better optimization and performance.

    nice explanation about Stamps, optimizing the Nuke script will be helpful to other compers and will reduce the rendering process as well ...

    When we select the script @15.05 you can exactly see how messy stamps get. It is just lazy.

      I am sorry if I sound too categorical on this but stamps has made me lose months of my work life. It is also not adapted stereo for conversion of a script because people can connect anything anywhere and start to completely disregard any layers in depth.
