In Mumbai the sea is polluted thanks to oil exploration. Not so in Rameswaram. Pilgirimage and fishing are the two main activities. But the governments by congress and bjp are insensitive to the plight of the fisherman there. Equally useless and irrelevant are the Indian navy and coast guard.j
When I was studying in Pamban I used to cross this bridge daily and go to school. It is always memorable for me.
Don't call it dangerous.. This is one if the engineering marvels and proud to be Indian for having it.

I visited Rameshwaram when I was 10 years old. Great experience on Rameshwaram. Took a deep bath on morning sea with great sunlight experience. Stayed there for 2 days. Food is just awesome 🤤Now I'm 19yrs. Memories 🙂✌️

The Pamban Bridge also called as Cantilever Scherzer Rolling Lift Bridge; was named after the German engineer Scherzer, who built the Pamban viaduct; has a road bridge that was constructed parallel to the original rail bridge back in 1988 which connects National Highway 49 with the island of 🇮🇳
