  • It really works 😲🤯
I always think that vaginal tears are a perfect example of showing how...
💫 KNOWLEDGE IS POWER trumps IGNORANCE IS BLISS…. All. Day. Long 💪🏼💫
When I speak to people one of their biggest worries about birth is often tearing and trust me, I get it. It’s not the nicest of things to think about. BUT what I don’t think you should do is bury your head in the sand and push your worries aside. You CAN stack the odds in your favour to reduce the chance of tearing or lessen the tear.
One thing you can do is perineal massage 💁‍♀️ A massage that can be done from 34 weeks to help increase muscle and tissue elasticity and make it easier to avoid tearing during a vaginal birth. Don’t think it will work? Try the thumb trick and then tell me it won’t work 😏
Learning about tears and what you can do to help reduce them is going to help lessen your anxiety, help you feel prepared and… reduce your chances of tearing. It’s a no-brainer 🤷‍♀️
How can you learn more about reducing the chances of tearing? It’s all in The Birth Chapter with it’s own dedicated video 😉
Did you try the thumb trick? Are you shocked at how quickly a massage could make a difference? Let me know in the comments ⬇️

Lol gotta say, as a hyperflexible person my fingers were already at your "after". But even still, the thumb I massaged went down a hair more.

I have myotonia so I’m not sure if this can really work for me.
