Considering the price, this body is far superior to the awful SCX24 Jeep Wrangler with wonky wrinkled decals.
Seems like they went all out on the body and lights and nothing on the electronics, and Axial went all out on making the electronics function well together, but decided to just throw in a flimsy shell.
Maybe find a way to put all the Axial electronics under the hard body frame and shell? That would be a project I would do for sure. I know you have stock parts from your SCX24 lying around.
I’ve seen a couple guys trim the steering stops on these and it makes a big difference. I’m seriously thinking about getting one, and axial parts do fit it

@@kevincasey6876 not real well. Even the diff covers from an scx24 won’t fit. All of the aftermarket ones I tried wouldn’t work. It’s very close to the same but not exactly.
@@2fmrc motor, servo and knuckles?have you tried these
@@lgrc6120 I didn’t try the knuckles because honestly the truck wasn’t worth anymore of my time 😆 the motor and servo will swap with a little work. The servo mount is stupid on these. You have to cut the tabs off the servo to use a regular micro servo on this truck. Even with a better servo the transmitter is so bad that steering don’t really work well. Don’t center well etc & that was with a servo that has no issues in an scx24 or fcx. My transmitter had issues out of the box. The power switch couldn’t even turn on because the case needed trimmed. Fixed that and I still have to turn the dual rate up every time I turn it on to get any steering. Then you have to center it again. I can adjust the servo horn & get everything centered etc. Turn it off and back on and gotta do it again. It’s just overall a cheap truck. I’d definitely just go with an scx24 for a little more money even though the electronics and stuff stink in those as well. At least the core truck is better and easier to upgrade.

I bought one of these. So far I have changed the axles, shocks, wheels and tires, and put a flex kit on it. If you want something to build your way, the I recommend this 110%. It is way cheaper and so far, everything for the scx24 will fit it.
for the money its unbeatable.
What parts did you buy that are cheaper than scx24 parts for upgrades?
BY the way the steering has a D/R so you can increase your steering angle.

I've a mini z clone and it is very similar to this. Very cool! I really wish to make a nice crawler course cause that's when these things are the most fun!
How are they different actually? Only the transmitter is different?
@@acche-rc i think these two are two different clones. Mini z clone in some ways is better unfortunately. But it's good for me haha

@@AlanShortySwanson good is subjective here. It just works well but you can’t expect same quality. But I think it is sold out now. Couldn’t find it

With that turning radius it would be hard to drive around my table like i do my other 24s. Does it have a dual rate conroller? Did you adjust the Rates?
Yes I did but found the turning radius was still quite a bit..
