4. Xavi getting sent off and basically not being on the sideline to manage his team emotionally and pyschologically (VERY irresponsible).

@@wrongdoings2934 His was the biggest mistake but could have been overcome. Barca were 1-0 up in the game and 2 goals up in the tie. The red card only seemed like death sentence because of the reaction to it. If it was Real Madrid, City or Liverpool they would still have gone through. Plenty of teams win with 10 men, talk less of 10 men with a two goal advantage. All of this Araujo scapegoating to avoid (as usual) speaking about the deeper issues at FCB. The main problem of this club is complete lack of self awareness and self criticism.
I mean look at Xavi’s comments on the red card or Araujo’s “robo” gesture. Complete lack of emotional maturity in this team and that os precisely what Gundogan keeps trying to say.
It takes some humility and a strong mentality to see through Gundogan's words and understand the intention. Araujo doesn't have that. I'm sure Gundogan is very confused because he came from all that "positive body language, supreme confidence" lifestyle from Man City and the culture at Barcelona is just very different.

I'm a Madrid supporter, but you have to remember that Barca beat Madrid 4-0 at the Bernabéu the same season Messi left for PSG - THE Madrid side that won the Champions League and La Liga and nobody saw it coming. It seems clear to me that Gundo is only being this vocal because Xavi ISN'T. The guys are right - he never said these kinds of things at City, and you have to ask why. It's likely because Pep was in the ear of any player who wasn't pulling his weight, so Gundo didn't have to drag his teammates. If he's doing it at Barca, there must be a good reason for it.

I give about 1% chance for a Guler start. Brahim and Joselu are both ahead of him and wouldn't be surprised to see Vini and Rodrygo both start. It could even be the exact same lineup that started vs City but with Tchouameni put somewhere.

El Clasico was a very interesting match. Currently I don’t see El Clasico as that important as it was.
Madridista here, I always worry about barca when they are in turmoil because they are a big big club who use the next game in front of them as a chance to use that turmoil to come together and get a result against a rival. Dangerous to underestimate them now.

The fact that most of these comments are saying Gundogan is right shows that many of you have never played or been a part of a team... Even though what he said may be true, you don't go and call out your teammate like that in public. He could have made a vague statement without getting into too much detail publicly.

Araujo made a terrible decision, the worst decision he could have made with that tackle. Even if he let the attacker through on goal and he scored, Barça would’ve still been a goal up with a high probability of winning. Araujo put them a man down for 2/3 of the match against a talented attacking team. He was right to be criticized. If Barça was smart they would sell him and buy a better defender.
