I've always liked electronic gages. The 4.3 was a fine V6. It was literally 'the little engine that could'.

The 4.3 was bulletproof. One of the best engines in the world.

Too bad the vehicle fell apart around it. 😏

I loved the electronic gages that were in nearly every car back in the 80s. Unfortunately it was still way too ahead for its time and many drivers found them confusing and distracting. Plus they’d burn out after a while when the vehicle was still being used (not junked), that’s why cars went back to analogs in the 1990s until digital screens started taking over again in the early 2010s 🤷‍♂️

I wish I owned one of those in that condition here in 2023. I love that generation of the Chevy Blazer.

my grandma had a 92' in 1996 that she used to deliver newspapers, my grandma was barely 5ft she used to sit on a pillow to drive this beast, when you saw this picking you up from school you knew it was going to be an awesome day, she finally cracked the block on it at 230,000 miles in 2005 i learned to drive on it and it was beyond worn out and tired
hers was white grey twotone with a red pin stripe and had plastic running boards such a cool truck.

My very first vehicle was a 1991 S10 Blazer. I miss smoking the rear tires off it. It would do burnouts all day long.

I absolutely loved my 94 4dr 4wd. It was my first vehicle out of high school. Still regret getting rid of it almost 20yrs ago. Always thought I'd like to have another one.

I wanna say during Motorweek’s 25th anniversary special, they showed one of these S-10 Blazers flipping on to its side during the slalom or quick turn test.

I had a 2001 chevy blazer. Mine was equipped with the auto trac 4wd. Chevy doesn't make suv's like that anymore!

Back when even small utility vehicles could receive four-wheel drive.
Subaru used to brag about 4 wheel drive on most or all of their vehicles. Now its AWD
Like most companies now everything is all-wheel drive instead of four-wheel drive
My brother used to have a 2004 Chevy Tracker four-wheel drive it wasn't as good as a Jeep but it could run neck and neck pretty well. The SUV I have now all-wheel drive and I'm sure not taking that off road only good for the snow.

On The Subject Of The Blazer And 4WDs...
I Still Have NOT Seen 1 Video Of A GMC Sierra Getting Out Of A Ditch🤷
My 91 S10 Blazer Got Stuck In A 1/4 in of Sand And MY Steering Wheel Feel OFF After Getting off Of The Highway😱
    Beautiful Looking...(GMC)
And Before Thinking Of The Blazer Experience....That Also Got Out Performed By My Older 80s Isuzu Trooper With A Smashed Front End😄🤷
That 4Wheel Drive Worked When I Needed It..And I Was Impressed...
And Then Seeing The Ford Raptor Commercial Driving On Sand And Hitting a Jump And Landing....🤔
Thinking Of The Blazer Getting Stuck In A 1/4 Inch Of Sand On A road...😡🤷
.... gotta Say I'm NOT Confident I'd Make It Out Of A Ditch In A GMC Sierra Denali🤷 As Beautiful As It Is.. Especially The Denali Ultimate...but The Ultimate Look Is NOT Available with A Gas Engine🤷
    ...
I'm NOT A Fan Of Aluminum Engines Either (there is a V8 option..that might be cast iron but Not Sure...The Raptor R....)..But That Raptor Looks Like Id Make It Out A Ditch If I Need To🤔..
    Thoughts?
I Don't See Problems With Jeep 4wd...But See Problem Videos With GM Trucks...but NOT Jeep 4 Wheel Drives...🤔
    Are GMC Trucks 4WD Different?
Is Fords Different Or Basically The Same Thing/Type Of 4WD System?🤔...
    ✌️♥️😎🏠

You would think General Motors would have building vehicles without creeks and random noises down after like a million years of business. It’s really astonishing. Honda and Toyota at the time were making bulletproof vehicles. I always got the impression that gm hated its own consumers.

    • @CMNTMXR57
      @CMNTMXR57 Před 11 měsíci +2

It wasn't the vehicle. It was the rear mounted spare tire carrier that rattled (which is what they referred to in the video). As far as bulletproof, I had 4 S-Series trucks with over a million miles on them between them and never had issues. The 4.3 was stout and powerful. The frame was pretty stout too.

I STILL remember the first time I ever looked at one!!!! It was at Tom Chevrolet on Route 1 (The Automile) in Norwood, MA on Saturday, March 24, 1990 (also the day that the last episode of ALF aired). That was also my first look at/sit in the then-new Caprice Classic. The AWESOME song on the stereo at 2:11..................czcams.com/video/jkT1r8dqDRE/video.html Written by Karla Bonoff.

It's a 1991+, the 1990 and prior had the square bezel grille that was 3 piece. I had a 1990 Jimmy which was the last year they had the 3 piece grille, which in my opinion was the nicer design.

Because that generation S-10 came out in 1983. 1991 is when they changed the grille, trim work, Blazer nameplate (now in the bump strip), and a few other touches in addition to coming out with the 4-door. This generation would last until 1994.

    • @CMNTMXR57
      @CMNTMXR57 Před 11 měsíci +2

Tahoe was a trim package/level in 1991 (through 1994) for the S-10 Blazer. The "Tahoe" that you're referring to, would then become it's own stand alone vehicle product line in 1995 when they took the full size 2-door Blazer and renamed it "Tahoe". At which time, they also added two more doors to make it the 4-door variant which we know today (The 2-door "Tahoe" was phased out in 1999). At which time (1995), the actual "Blazer" name got transferred to the new from the ground up 1995 S-10 Blazer, dumping the "S-10" part of the name.
