Amazing video Keith. Thanks for helping get the word out. We hope everyone carries a DoubleTrak on every ride. If anyone has any issues with the tool, let us know, we stand behind it.
And, Keith, our fault, but it is Enj-Duro. Like Engineer + Enduro. Soft "G". When you let engineers name a company, you get one that is easy to mispronounce!
just bought one. ive been in fernie BC for the last month, to warm for good snow but great little town anyway.
@@simonhantler8062 Think I might be grabbing one for the 2017 KTM 500 I'm picking up tomorrow!
@@simonhantler8062 Fernie is close. We could have shipped your DT there for you 😉
@@TravisStephenson we were skiing there but back home in nz now. just saw keith jobs vid yesterday. all good. where are you guys based?
@@simonhantler8062 we're based in Calgary.
I ordered this, never intending to review it, but loved it so much I just had to share it! I contacted the team at EngDuro and they happily agreed to discount it for you my lovely viewers! Enjoy!
Its funny i'm here watching a review about this tool from someone across the world when I just found out the tool is made in my province.. what a small large world. Thanks for making the video!
That's cool! No worries, hope you got some value out of it!
Bought the doubletrak after seeing RTW Pual's video about it. Now I'm getting the singletrak with your link. Thanks
I just bought one over the weekend for my T7 at a bike show in Calgary. It’s fantastic and reaches the deep inset bolts that my other multi tool won’t. Great quality and helpful people.
Yes that extension piece is fantastic!
Literally just ordered one last night for my 17' 450 excf. Love your videos Keith. Keep up the enthusiasm for adventure!
Thanks Keith. Picked one up, thanks for the discount!
Well done Keith. I got mine too. I will carry it with me all arounf Africa.
I’m always impressed with your “warts and all” reviews Keith. So when you showed how this tool actually works on the bike, I paused the video and ordered one. Lucky I saw the discount code before I did 😅. I reckon I can now reduce the tools I carry by half. Thank you. Hope you get out on that sweet 500 soon.
Ordered it.... thanks Keith
Well done Keith. Excellent that you showed how it functioned on actual fasteners you’d need in the field. Even better than Paul’s version! Thats saying something.
Awesome system! Great overview Keith and well done EngDuro!
I had seen this mentioned elsewhere before on adv groups but this is the first clip I’ve seen on it.
Added to the list of things to get haha!
Thanks Keith, Great find, just ordered one as I too was looking for something along this line. Now I just need to find a light weight compact breaker bar for my rear wheel nut on my desert x. 👍
@koalakoncepts, lucky for you we just prototyped something we call the ToeWrench. A CNC machined, super light, super short, aluminum axles wrench that will work with all popular axle sizes. A little double wording, as the handle also incorporates a ~4m long kevlar tow rope to help you out if you need to.
Toe as the wrench is short, so you'll need to put your toe (foot) on it to get the torque to break an axle nut loose. Or Tow, as it has a tow rope incorporated into the design.
We'll be teasing some details soon. We've got some prototypes in hand and have been testing/refining it.
@Travis@EngDuro Can't wait to see that one. Need to be able to do 180nm
@@koalakoncepts 180Nm...like ~135ft/lbs of torque? And this is the Ducati proprietary nut design that looks like a massive Torx head? We'll have to see if we get there.
@Travis@EngDuro yep that much torque to get the bad boy off. The nut isnt the problem, its the leverage. Have the socket, but need something compact and light with a 1/2 inch bit, same as breaker bar. A Half inch sliding handle is the best option at the moment with some pipe for portability.
Somehow I seen to carry around a garage worth of tools that never get used. Maybe I should look into one of these.
Great video and handy little tool .I got caught out fuel pump went on me and didn't have spanner in kit to get the bung and fuel tap off, completely forgot about those two things, luckily a guy stopped and took me into nearest town 😅
Just ordered mine!
Great tip, just ordered this little miracle. Thanks.
Order placed through your link. Thank yoy
Thanks for the vid - got one coming...
Looks like a great handy little tool
Brill - thanks Keith!
You're welcome!
Hi Keith
Great videos - many thanks! I recall that on an earlier video you mentioned that you had your seat modified at an upholsterer. I am also based locally. Could you please tell me who you used and what they did?
Thanks again.
Topline Seats in Seaford. 9" wide closed cell EVA foam. Mario has a pattern, he calls it "seat concepts" copy although it is actually a Fisher copy.
BUT last I heard Mario was taking some time off, so give him a ring first.
Both one using your code. Cool recommendation.
Hope you enjoy it!
Cool little tool, IMO there are always more tailored/better/lighter/comprehesive options available to people that take the time themselves to build a specific kit for each of their bikes. For anyone interested in an alternative option to build a tailored kit for your specific bike. I run a kit based off the following 3 kits from TradeTools & ThirdGear. Trade Tools Product Codes RI03412 & 2222 & ThirdGear 'FOLDING T HANDLE SET'. Start with those three and cull them signifcantly to fit every item on your bike and keep just t handle driver (no ratchet to break) and the 8mm ratchet and you'd be surprised what combinations of 1/4 hex/square/3/8 drive/extension setups that can be made. Add a single Ballards multiwrench as your only tyre lever and wheel wrench (if you know how to do tyres with one lever) and the single correct plug socket to fit the 3/8 or 1/4 drive and you should literally be able to to every fastner on the bike. Food for thought for those that bother reading this :) I've made kits for a my beta 480, Husky TR650 (Nuisance of a bike with mixed large torx & hex) and my Triumph 1200XE and all of them are far far lighter than and complete kit I've seen offered for sale including stuff like the cruz tools sets, SBV tools & Motohansa kits. Nothing against this product, it's a cool little tool. I just see anything that isn't material that carries the torque to the faster or material fitting the fastener as excess/wasted material personally so the mid section seems excessive and there are spatial requirements on some bikes where only flush/spanner like tools will work etc that this big t handle like thing won't fit in.
Thanks Keith - now have one of these on the way. Can I ask what you have attached to your frame where you are running your bag loops through (the metal loop bracket) - are those the Giant Loop buckles?
Yes. Mosko also sell them as a cleat kit.
OK EngDuro, take my money! Perfect.
seems quite interesting! I have the motion pro trail tool (as sold by KTM, as it includes the torx) and I can really decide if this is better or not
We're biased, but EngDuro is CNC's 7075 Aluminium, has more bits, and costs less. The Motion Pro is stamped steel, has fewer bits, requires a carrying case, and costs more.
But the Motion Pro does include some larger sockets. You can supplement the EngDuro tool as Keith did with the 13mm socket and use our 1/4" hex to 1/4" square drive.
EngDuro is also working on a set of nesting sockets, 12/13 & 14/17mm to supplement our current bit load out. Stay tuned for them to hit the market. We're still working through design and testing, so they will be a few months away.
Nesting sockets would be great. The less things the better!
i Have the original toolkit with my bike, a 501 husky, it does the job perfect so why looking for something else?
Great video mate . Where did ypu pick your one up from ?
From the Engduro website 😎
Love ya keith best informative channel
Thanks Matt, I do try!
can I change the tyres with this? ;)
Hi Keith! Thanks for the cool review. Tried to use the code for DoubleTrak but it looks like it doesn't work anymore :( can you please check it?
keith what footpeg extensions are on your bike? i just bought an engduo double trak , cheers for lead.
CJ Designs. On Pivot Pegz .
@@keithjob cheers. i bought some pivot pegs for my exc500 but can’t work out how they fit. seems like they gave me two of the same. 😵💫
