- Building a Cave, Primal Shelter | Warm and Cozy Secret House | Underground Bushcraft Construction. In this construction of the cave spent a lot of time and effort to make it comfortable warm and cozy and also built a stove and a table, an entrance door and a window cave made of clay is very warm because it is underground and most importantly that the secret shelter that no one knows about and in the cave you can to hide from the cold the whole construction and building is made in the Bushcraft style but I want to say that it is not a survival guide but Bushcraft and everything is made with natural materials wood and clay as it is far from civilization and summing up it is a primitive method of living underground. I would have just kept my thoughts to myself but for your comment. I think one reason for negative comments is the (1.) audience. I watch a lot of these primitive build shows and usually don't care about the projects at all.
(2.) The topic of land ownership isn't addressed. Will these changes be repaired. I doubt it because it would take significantly more effort and equipment to fix this.
(3.) This location looks to be important to water movement and the structure itself could cause the erosion of the embankment. The soil was disposed of in a willy-nilly fashion that is damaging to plant life and water movement. The whole idea is pointless and destructive and (1.) the audience is aware of all this and more.

Wrong. He built it between two key keylines of water movement. The mountain already shuttles the water else where. the ridges that look like a creek going up and down the mountainside are keylines. The majority of the water will shed off the mountain there. If that area was commonly wet then it would it self be a keyline or a big of soft soupy clay. It wouldn't be hard pack. There are also a lot of roots and living top soil above the shelter. You can see he didn't like the top soil falling down above his door so he removed some and added Adobe which covered the roots. They'll air prune and spread out in other directions on their own. If you pay attention you can see part of the video where he is sawing the wall and then he chisels out a block. That's so compacted it's more sandstone than it is earth. I've gardened in soil like that. I needed a pick axe to make it arable and mix in organic matter. I've seen people break rototillers trying to work soil like that. A mix of clay and sand that's been compacted by heavy weight is literally stronger than concrete. His walls are an arch that is stronger than concrete. I'm not saying it's 100% safe because concrete is surprisingly weak compared to what most people think but hey a lot of homes have a concrete foundation holding up a two story house. The two story house doesn't have roots that support some of its own weight either.

Using that saw to cut the wall, kind of cool. That's some precision work. I wish we could all just extend our home with shovel, saw, and ax. Would be pretty sweet if you had an out house and shower man, maybe off to the side or where ever can be sanitary.

But I wouldn't build in this place. The terrain is too steep and in heavy and prolonged rain everything can slip. If the ground is saturated with rain, the water will no longer seep away, and if things go badly, your cave will flood. I would start building 2 to 3 meters higher.

Это летний вариант укрытия? - на холодное время вход надо делать вдвое уже.. Там где лежанка должно быть закрыто.. Слева от входа камин земляной и труба с выходом наружу.. Возле лежанки около входа поленница запаса дров.. В стенах ниши под посуду, припасы и вещи.. Дверь - штору из брезента..

I admire the work you put into this, but i saw many things that did not make sense to me, the flood and water factor is the main things, fire hazard from your fire placement is another, you can not keep that very warm, i did watch it to the end to see if maybe you saw this, but the snow will melt at some point and your hard work will fall into ruin

I have noticed that also, that people making vid.. fig their homes underground.. that us dome thing I. UUID’s not do!! Either fig at a certain height. Or dig on the same level as entrance will be above any kind of threatening flooding … otherwise no use making that effort to make a cave home!!!

This is great. You should research how to make a composting toilet. Use charcoal and ash to stop the smell. Works very well. No smells and no waste. Good for feeding a tree when it is full. You can bury it and add an inch of soil and plant food on top.
