Hawkins has an additional benefit you can really make paper roast dosa in medium to low flame aaraam se 10 minute ek side ko rehne do and ta da your paper roast is ready, it will not burn, my daughter eats only a paper roast, so I have kept a separate tawa for that. Uthne samay mein do chaar other normal dosa I make for others. Rahinya will love it, take my word. But it should be eaten within 10 minutes.

I have the same tawa from Borosil brand actually. It's the same. The coating hasn't come off but the color looks a little off in the centre.

I have iron roti tawa but not able to make good chapati bcoz it burnt from middle and not cooked well from side.
So is there any trick to cook proper chapati on iron tawa.

My mother in law makes everything on iron tawa. Even omelette , cheela n dosa tk bhi apart from roti n parantha. Oil thora zyada lagta hai but taste bht behetreen Hota hai compared to non stick . Mjhe BHI initially roti bnane me dikkat hoti thi but with time ab better ban jati hai. But cheele n dosa bnane k Liye thora sa tricky rehta hai. But taste is worth it.
The irong tawa shouldn't be thin, a good quality tawa will make a difference. Like I said in the video, after using for a longer period you can make omelette as well on an iron tawa but with slightly more oil than non-stick.
And you need to keep increasing and decreasing the flame while making rotis so that the rotis come out perfect, neither hard nor burnt.
