- We went to Marseille to experience French football’s most historic club: Olympique de Marseille. OM is still the only club in France with a European trophy and will play Atletico Madrid this week in the 2018 Europa League Final. @pro 8468 we're not cocky and never will be, the champions league is our own identity, noone can ever take it from us, you don't understand what it's like to support marseille, it's like a religion to us, everyone has a jersey or a logo on their car window or a flag hanging on their balcony
If they can win this Europa League, get into Champions League next year and make some noise, and make a push for top 2 spots in Ligue 1....then yes. They can then call themselves on the rise. Only with all those things can they make that claim.

As a Marseille fan, I believe that we are capable of giving a tough match against Atlético and possibly win the EL. It all depends on the players and their will to win. With players like Payet, Thauvin and Mandanda, we should be able to at least fight for the title. #AllezOM

I don't even hate Atletico, but I've honestly never wanted a team to lose more. Arsenal needed that trophy way more than Atletico. Not only would that have been the perfect way to send off Wenger, but it would've guaranteed us CL football next season. Plus, they have Diego Costa, and I can't stand him. So, I'm betting on Marseille to obliterate Atleti.

I mean, Real Madrid was in the CL final for the third fucking year in a row; the Patriots made the third of 4 SB appearances in a five-year span; the Warriors were in the finals (though given it was them vs Cavs for the fourth consecutive year, I wish I hadn't cared about that either).

What you don't say in your documentary is that you can hear the flies flying in their stadium and in the whole city when their opponent score a goal. They are only hot before the game and when they score. If they are losing by a large score they will leave the stadium before the final whistle(2017 OM PSG 1-5), they don't support their team in the bad moments only in the good ones. You also forgot to talk about the corruption of their president in the 90's and how they win their Champions League.
