This riff is so epic. I have listened to this song probably a thousand times over the span of forty years, and it still hits like the first time.
Yep!
Yuuuup n Yuuuup
I'm a 38 year old drug baby... this song will always be nostalgia and hope!!!
Not a bad note in it
John Sykes is the man behind the epic riff! 🔥🔥🔥
Sex girls.
Yeah, I'm only a 102!
David Coverdale doesn't get enough credit for amazing vocals. One of the best rock performances ever
That's because Zepheads accused him of sounding too much like their master: Robert Plant.
Oj tak 😉👌💪.
I've been listening to him since Burn with Deep Purple. Seen him a few times and it's been great each time and it looks like Dino is going to be a great replacement as Dave retires.
@@RocketPunchHero1David blows Robert out of the arena
No he sure doesn't get credit and he should.
The dance, the hairstyle , hot 80s girl , the riff , the legendary interlude , everything is perfect !
Not the hairstyle though 😂
I completely agree with you; i freaking miss the 80's!
The Girl was Tawney kitten
@@glennmckee4952 she was just as famous as the band
Concordo contigo
This song defined an era in rock history
the end of hair bands
Sykes was ahead of his time with his guitar playing...💯
some people actually know.
One of the killer riff ever. Long live Whitesnake
Long live Sykes!!
@@pillsareyummy right on . wrote whitesnakes best two albums , then fired so they could get pretty boys in to try and make it big in the USA
Amen!
Never forgot the first time I listened to this riff; it was genuine and different than anyone before
Guys also check out my band czcams.com/video/5IndTnlRNW0/video.html, Whitesnake has inspired us so much and made us all heal through their music.
Should have won a Grammy
That guitar-tone from Sykes is insane. And the solo...wow.
Yessssss
Sykes grabo todo el album... o Vanderberg & Campbell..?
John Sykes lit this album on FIRE!
@@CUATRODOMINGUEZ Van Der Berg Stuntman
Sounds crisp every time you hear. Even after a decade.
J.Sykes tone is simply perfection.
This the BEST rock song of all time!!!
Its not lol
@@ratman3752 YES - HUH😜
Every section of this track is awesome. Top tier classic rock.
One of the most underrated rock songs of all time. Never understood how this song never got more recognition .pure music genius
HUH?????? this was played day and night on MTV and the radio for 20+ years. THATS NOT UNDERRATTED. lmfao
This song was GIGANTIC. At least here in the States.
The most not underrated song of all time, are you from Mars? MTV heavy rotation at least for 10 years
@@joepalumbo9150everywhere, I was maybe 5 in Honduras and I remember this song
Our ass is underrated you fool
One of the greatest songs I've ever heard
Dave, every time I listen to it, I have tears in my eyes. One of the best songs I've ever heard
1970s Kashmir = 1980s Still of the Night
Fucking ace I once danced and sang this whilst stoned and in poppers to my mate.. Heterosexual.. She loved it
I even dare to say, it's better than Stairway to Heaven
same
I absolutely love this song, fun fact it was heavily criticized as was the band for being wannabes and knockoffs of Zeppelin. It has stood the test of time and is now a Classic of its time
That middle section with the violin and the breathing and the reverb voice starting at 2.10 mins is pure eargasm. Someone give me 1 hour of this. 🤤
Ncboss pagnsor
Eargasm absolutely perfect. Exactly what I experience too.
@@michaelvicario2584 ?
Such a great part!!!!
Not violin that’s keyboards
At 71 years of age? This guy is a living legend! 🤟
Still and always one of the GREATEST rock songs EVER played!!
This song doesn't get enough credit. The song is 7 minutes. At 2 minutes 8 seconds it goes into a 2 and 1/2 minute long Led Zeppelin like badass interlude slow then intimate then hard and then you even got guitar violin bow like Zeppelin. Badass. You just don't get songs like this today.
That's true, the song doesn't get all the credit it really deserves. And you know why? Because of that constant involvment of Led Zeppelin like badass interlude etc. etc. which is an absolute crap. The guitar sound of John Sykes on this album will never be reproduced again, even from Sykes himself. Compared to it Page sounds like "kiddy guitarist". And I am sure all these videos would be much better and appreciated if the original members who recorded the album - John Sykes, Neil Murray, Ainsley Dunbar amd Don Airey were filmed.
agreed. top 100 somgs ever made easily.
@@bgmakedon Correct. There was a lot of line up change in WS around this time that really hurt the possibility of what could have been.
Intro is also a Zeppelin ripoff, but in a good way. A very 80’s Black Dog tribute!
ZG1967 Couldn’t agree more❣️LOVE this❣️Everything about it♥️♥️
I'll never not like this song. And I'm over 50.
Me too...and I'm over 60!
Who cares you fool it doesn't matter
Ok. 🛑 Being a dumbbell
*This is my favorite song EVER. I was 17 when it came out. I love 70s and 80s music, but this is one that gives me goosebumps. I 🤍 Whitesnake*
No auto tune. No computer music….. time when talent and skill lead the race
What can you say David Coverdale is one of the best musicians of all time and no one can come close to his voice and say nothing of the way he looks to this day the sexiest man alive
I agree, but if I was a woman, trust me I'm not, I would pick Ian Astbury as the better looking dude, at least in his younger days, think Fire Woman/the Cult.
I war born hearing Rock❤ Whitesnake was one of my favorites bands ever.
The epic perfection of a rock song. This has it all.🐍
I think the riff needs more recognition. To me, it's up with the best rock riffs ever. Probably the best Whitesnake did
This is one of the best hard rock song ever
Watching this on the day that Tawney died. She was beautiful. So so beautiful. Another one that got lost. She for sure has been found now away from this at cruel times world.
Agree
How was she lost?
Masterpiece from Whitesnak. I can hear this song 1000 time and it is not enough. From Germany with love ❤❤
Your SUCH a great fan but still don't know that the band is called WHITESNAKE? 🙄😂
@@Werdiknight Thank you.
That first riff hits you right in your bones.
I love this song. Especially the interlude. It gives me chills everytime
One of my favorites for sure. Brings back my college memories of the late 80's.
This is such a killer riff, and David's voice is unparalleled. What a great band.
Ty Tawney for the time you gave us you made Whitesnake videos the best in rock & roll great job White snake you was part of my life
Back in 1987... I was hearing Is This Love and Here I Go Again on the radio every now and then, those two were pretty often broadcast in pop programmes. And then came that moment when I heard Still of The Night for the very first time on a hardrock-metal-only radio show... It was kinda orgasmic :) This is the song that led me to buy the 87 album and made me a WS fan.
This is one of those songs, that if it was just released today for the first time, would still get as much air play and still become as popular as it is now. What a timeless song.
Finally after all these years, that killer solo has the sound clarity it deserves. This remaster is really wild. It’s almost like an another band playing the song. This song must have the world record number of remasters.
1987...one of the best rock albums in history of music...the remaster sounds great ..
White Snake are incredibly talented and their music is still Rocking today,
They are a Legendary Rock band !!! 🎉🌟💗
Davd Coverdale , the velvet voice!
Legendary.
One of the best rock songs ever. Love it as much today as the first time I heard it.

Some songs are absolutely timeless and this is one of them brings back so many good memories
Sykes guitar tone is awesome but the solo is really outstanding and Coverdale's strongest vocals...💯🤘
David is iconic and what a guitars...
I love Whitesnake, it's my 80's Rock
Me too ..
I LIVED THE BEST PART OF MY LIFE IN THE 80's!
55 years old now...
Makes tears run down my cheeks...
I'm still with the love of my life. We got married in 1987 in his grandpa's living room, and his grandpa was a Baptist preacher. So, he married us, in Dallas, Texas, and my bestie was there.
It's been a wild, wild ride, with dramatic downs and amazing up's.
I still go back in my mind, to those crazy, drug fueled , fun years. Everything was so intense.
I have no regrets.

The quintessential 80s rock song!
Дэвид ... Да без комментариев.. слушаю со времени DEEP PURPLE...
Love this...the mighty guitar warrior John Sykes!!
Reminds me of High School, Florida, MTV and 1987.
Sometimes, when I listen to this song, I have the feeling that a wave of emotions overwhelms my heart as an eternal rebel boy!!! Fantastic Whitesnakes!!
The video looks awesome in HD, I think Adrian and Viv are awesome players (seen both live a number of times) but i wish John Sykes had got to be in the videos and tour for this album he co-wrote and his amazing lead work. Really big shame it didn't work out, one of lifes what if's! I hope one day we will hear Sykes again......I miss him as he is one of my favourite guitar players. Peace.
🤘🤘🤘
I fully agree, Paul, JOHN SYKES' guitar playing is amazing and unique. I have both BLUE MURDER albums where he shows what he can. He's not only a guitar player extraordinaire, but also a great singer with an amazing bluesy voice what we can hear on both BM albums. SYKES and his band BLUE MURDER (with TONY FRANKLIN on bass and CARMINE APPICE on drums) did not get the recognition he deserves.
@@helmutbiehl2454 Those albums are great (Nuclear Cowboy is one of my JS favourites) and yes great voice in which like Gary Moore doesn't get noted as much as the playing. I stood at the front at a number of the Thin Lizzy gigs he did in the 00's until he left Lizzy and it was awesome :) Love Whitesnake/DC so seen different lineups but always think what it would have been like with more albums and seeing tours with Sykes!
@Paul-that is a good point but Sykes ruined it for himself when he tried to get David fired during those sessions. DC was injured and Sykes tried to throw him off the boat. HUGE MISTAKE!
I recently heard Adrian on Mitch Lafon's podcast and Adrian says he was in the studio, could hear DC and Sykes shouting at one another and that's when Sykes was asked to leave. Incredible story indeed of how Sykes ruined his own legacy in WS
@Exterminence nope. and i'm glad they did not. i could care less which rock n roller sleeps with who and why and when and where. there is no monogamy in rock n roll. forget about it!
Sykes messed up. he fell on the sword and despite 1 Blue Murder album, he has done nothing to write home about
DAMN-IT I MISS THE 80s so much. Think I’ll invent a time machine and go back to 1980 and start over. Anyone wanna go with? You’ll have to help pay for gas.😎
Awesome music. At 64 I still get pumped.

My favorite Whitesnake song ever!
0:30, 0:49, 1:31, & 4:45 - Is why all the strings on my expensive air guitar are broken! DAMN I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Just can't sit still listening to this.
This music is incredible, the sound, the power of Coverdale's voice, ufff, what a subject, however the number of reproductions and likes do not at all indicate such a masterpiece. Damn, what are people doing who don't value or enjoy this type of music?
David coverdale...🎤.....una de las mejores voces.. WHITERNAKE..
..Deep purple..FOREVER.. 🎸🎹⚡💥🔥
Y David Coverdale y Jimmy Page también
I remember I was 18 I was on a blind date my date and myself hit it off we got in my car and drove away and I put this song on on the way home we played the whole Whitesnake 1987 album when we got back to my place I'll just put it this way Whitesnake and this song still of the night got me laid and I ended up dating the girl for 3 years damn I miss the good old days
What a story 💪
I’m convinced, Tommy Aldridge & Rudy Sarzo played just about every 80s mega-hit.
One of the most competent and best rock bands of all time!

One of the best music performances, of all Time, i was a young Buddy 21 years old when 1987 comes out, and I still miss the Time and the great feeling we had. Thank you David
David Coverdale opened my eyes to the beauty of men with long hair. I'm still looking or should I say waiting for my own version of David Coverdale. ❤
