Since it's Christmas, I had an imaginary Santa buy me a figure.
This time, it is a video that studied real skin painting with reference to the figure of GANTZ: O "1/4 Reika" made by Prime 1 Studio!
In order to aim higher, reference materials are indispe$nsable... but $550... (´;ω;｀)
However, since it is a mass-produced product, there are areas where the paint is rough.
Models are my hobby, so I took the plunge and repainted the weapons. It's a death that makes you feel even more attached. (*´ω｀)
I will make use of the results of studying skin painting in the next model! see you!

Imagine having the skills to spend $550 on a figure and think "I can improve this".
Just imagine you can buy a sex doll for the same price that has the same likeness as this but life size lol. 550 is allot for only a 12 inch toy

@@stephenpegg5636 no way there exists a sex doll of this quality for 550. I mean you could find a doll for that much, but it would def not have the likeness or quality put into a figure of the same price.
@@deddrz2549 agree. I saw a vid of high-end sex dolls that look like the real deal... $1800 for an above average 1:1 scale good looking doll and $3k at least for the ones that look like they can make you a sandwich after the deed is done.
Awesome job! I love how you were able to match the skin tone with the original so well, and have the additional detail to boot. Expensive figure, but she looks like she'd be worth it, minor flaws and all.
Honestly I don't think I'm brave enough to even modify just a standard HG Gundam kit but this is amazing. I salute you for doing something so brave, $550 is a lot of money.

The re-paint on the weapon, as well as correcting the fit and antenna issues, was very well done and looks way better! But those cables are worse than the originals, no idea why them being "soft" was even an issue? But that is a personal preference things I suppose.
I think with Prime1, they use translucent resin. So it will be difficulty to get that appearance using just a paint application. No matter how good your paint app, you will never get the interaction of light to match the resin in the Prime1.
This craftmanship is over 9000!!!
A real artform to this!! Wish I had this kind of patience, not to mention skill. Great job getting it so close to the orgional here but better lol. $500 with so many flaws is not acceptable. Yours is so much better of which I would pay for over the orgional, great job!! 👍

I still saw flaws... however, I doubt anyone could, get rid of those, the area where they are at is so small, getting flawless is next to impossible.

the skin pigment in yours has a more yellow tone, also I don't think they did so many underlayers ( I don't have experience with this btw ) but I'm guessing the more thing layers you do the more changes you are going to get a less saturated or clean color, which you want in some cases where you are trying to do hyper-realism ( meaning not actually realistic, but a expectation of realistic.) I would love to see what results you can get if you try to simplify your steps to the bare minimum and see if that actually makes a difference or not.

For $550 you can get a full sized sex doll. Ridiculous to charge $550 for a toy. They don't even use real metal. For that much money the whole toy should be TPE, real leather clothing, real metal. Real HAIR!
