Fantastic trombone solo! Love the phrasing and how he shaped the lines.
That is DJ Rice - a really marvellous inventive player, who always looks far too pleasant to blow such magnificent surly trombone. You can see him in a small group setting in more recent times on YT pieces by "Austin Ford & Friends" - Austin is another former UNT member, who, like DJ, just goes on getting better and better.
Crisp, a powerful, strong with great clarity, excellent muscians that I would expect from maestro Jimmy Heath. His brilliance shines through his muscians
JH is joy and it comes through his music!!!!🎶🎵
This is a master piece with Jimmy being the master. Truly exquisite piece of music. Thank U
I can't wait to go to school here
10:12. I know everybody heard the Super Mario Bros quote from the trombone soloist 😂👌🏿
*an average trombonist* normal trombonist
*DJ* super Mario theme
Lol both the other trombonists are trying not to smile
but he blends that in so naturally I didn't even realize at first
Masterful alto sax solo!.... And little Jimmy's... Wow!!!. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Wonderful sound
great composition ❤ and great arrangement, should be played by big bands only.
But not composed for noodling licks & scales in a solo ;-)
Very beautiful brass player solos, very nice transition between trumpet and trombone. Love it ❤❤❤
Cool
Ashame Ashley Alexander didn't get to record this
Lol my man on bone just messin' around havin' nothin' but fun!!!!
Oooofff. When do you see the director solo?? We tried to Dragics to do it but he wouldn't.
